A melting Beastman just scaped from my magma moat and is being chased by my marksdwarf squad.

Another frost wyvern, this time it killed a whole siege of beast men, it even threw their leader on a tree.
Now I have 9 soldiers and one axelord all of them are blind.

There's no way to treat frostbite?

Axelord and 6 of my soldiers froze to death, my fort is defenceless.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I know this has something to do with amount of magical creatures but I wonder how this happened during gameplay and not worldgen. How rare is this?

Epic forgotten beast fight. Quardruped with antennae, made of clear glass. Had poisonous vapors. Killed the first five dwarfs that rushed it singly, and I only began making headway when my army en masse got there. Very long fight, lots of "but the shot glances away!". I finally brought it down. And then ... Urist McFBFighter is winded. Odd. He feels numb! Oh no! "Urist McFBFighter has suffocated"x13.

Oh man.

I gotta figure out a better way of handling FBs. Too bad my caverns are so awesome.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that in the middle of all that, I got the word that NO, I would NOT be receiving any migrants this year.

Goblins are sieging the fort and marksdwarves refuse to shoot them. I'm going to send my militia (armed with nothing but shields) to slay the merry mer on the other side of the drawbridge (armed with copper weapons and shields + no armor as usual)

I just finished my arena semi-automatic body disposal machine, it consists of 2 underground water towers 5z each, one is much larger(I build it later because only one required a lot of lever pulling.) and connected to floor grates, and the other fill the room by the walls with 2 pipes on 2 sides(E-W), and a drain taht goes all the way down to a cavern lake. (the drain kills more than my militia.)

It looks like one of my dwarfs has been arrested for murder. I was a bit confused when I was getting combat reports of:
The Planter strikes The Planter in the head with the steel axe!
The steel axe gets lodged in the wound!
The Planter twists the steel axe all about.
The Planter has been struck down!
The Planter stands up.

Also, a wild turkey slaughtered a dwarf child. This action was worthy enough that my dwarves granted the turkey a name. I sent my duke to negotiate with the turkey, but he ended up killing it. As a named creature, this became a notable kill on the duke's profile.

Traps drove the goblins away before I got the bridge down and militia out, but then the true danger revealed its cards!

Elk birds!

THOUSANDS OF THEM.

They rushed to the dormitory from the caves while my militia was outside, looking for other goblin ambusher squads.

5 dwarves dead and one slightly pissed off player.

EDIT: Drunians attacked and one recruit went insane and maimed a dog. Everything was going so smoothly before this...
WHAT?! ELK BIRDS IN DORMITORY?!?! HOW DID THEY SNEAK PAST CAVERN SQUAD?!
...
The whole cavern squad is in hospital.  :o

EDIT: "dwarf cancels random task, interrupted by GCS"

EDIT; This is ridiculous. 2 more Elk birds snuk past 20 militia dorfs and killed 2 stonecrafters. Then, burning FB set my militia on fire along with the whole cave system. This fort was doing so well and now its nightmare. How could this get out of control so fast?!

I got tired of "cancels load cage trap: need moar cages" spam and set up a nice tidy little dis-foe-sal for Bootrazors to get rid of the captive goblins hogging all my cages. I used a controlled cave-in to make a thirteen-layer drop, and had my weaponsmiths forge *menacing copper spikes* to line the bottom and build their weapon skills. It's seperated from the rest of the fortress by doors to keep miasma from spreading.

It works so nicely I'm looking into *copper serrated disks* to replace the cage traps at the entrances of my forts. I don't really have enough tin for bronze.

BlendTec Announcer: Goblin dust... don't breathe this!

Meanwhile the engravers are smoothing and engraving a layer of 3x3 prison cells. My legendary weaver will make cloth, my legendary dyer will color it, and my legendary clothier will make the masterfully-dyed masterwork cloth into masterwork ropes. Each prisoner will have a beautiful bed to sleep in, a pile of meals to eat, a pile of booze to drink, a table and a chair to sit at while they eat and drink, and beautiful ropes and carvings to gaze upon as they contemplate their sins.

Most of the baby animals are under control... for now, at least. I am slaughtering the hell out of stray male animals to keep the females from producing more, and I'm leaving eggs to be collected and cooked. One of my militia/stoneworker dorfs is continually teetering on the brink of "fine" and "unhappy".

I have repeatedly refused to make Bootrazors into a barony.

Found a cavern a while ago. Nothing alive in it other than shrooms and fungus. Still nohing, even after 5 years. This makes me worried.

As such, I am sending an autonomous probe to discover why this cavern is so empty.

my recent fort died of something interesting... A pathing error. It seems my elaborate trap entrance confuses dwarf so much, they refuse to exit through it, they'll enter though... which is odd.
