I haven't got this long fort in a while (well, it's only 122 midgets but usually I get bored earlier). Several a pair of FB's has visited me both breathing poisonous stuff but still being boring. I've spend half a dozen of dogs to find out effects of the first one, test goblin didn't even sneeze, then I've invited it to a meeting hall so all of my 40 soldiers could get a hit. Second one gave the goblin blisters and temporary numbness, not much, I'd get rid of this one too but it's made of charcoal and I've recently got fire titan deciding to take a shortcut through murky pool. The said titan has caused the most damage for now: it started a grass fire which killed all pets since I had them pastured above the ground and burned a considerable amount of my test subjects I've been stockpiling in a courtyard (several goblins, and a cage full of dogs).
Also I'm starting Girlinhat foundation children care center, the results are promising, by the way you can train them swimming really quickly by adding 5 buckets of water there but that'll prevent subjects from satisfying their needs such as eating, sleeping, and amazingly drinking, so don't forget to flush a water after a month or so.

Abyssguilds is into it's 8th year.

212 Dwarves. Worth 29.5 million. No Titans =(

Just got my most valuable artifact ever: Grievinggleam the Famous Vine a cotton candy table worth 1204800.

Traded with the elves and then magma flooded the merchants on their way out (my first time killing them with magma). And toying with ways to get magma (any fluid really) to move faster.

Just completed level 12(of 40) of my 31X31 magma reservoir By the time I am done I hope to have settled on how I want to drain my volcano into it. I'll probably be using around 400 pumps when it is all said and done and I am half way to having all of the green glass components built for them.

Once the miners are done digging out the magma reservoir I will send them to discover a masterwork cotton candy swords that has been in my inventory since I embarked here.

I don't know if you need other ideas when you have magma.

I got first autumn immigrants in my new fort...

2 planters, 2 miners, engraver, brewer and ranger :D

Now I'm checking all entrances and all doors because such good luck doesn't happen in this game. There's surely a magma lake right above my dining room now, or something like that.

WTFBBQ!

Just made my first masterwork cotton candy large serrated disc. It is worth just shy of 500k dwarfbucks. I spose if I had done the maths I could have figured that out a while ago.

I hope my dwarven liege is ecstatic. I just sent him (or her) a 5 mil offering.

They'll do that. Just slaughter the grazers as they arrive, no point keeping them.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Working on adapting my magma pump stack to feed the magma moat.  Still got a small bit of work to do on it, but the pumps should be ready soon.

Also, 234,160,034 million Dwarfbucks worth of stuff.

Quick, check him for rum! The bastard's probably spirited some off to his lair office, to act as pleasant refreshment as his evil scheme unfolds!

Just bought out the dorfen caravan of its rum, weaponry/armour, pets and leather. Then offered them 12,000dorfbux worth of finished goods. They were pleased. I've also hit a huge vein of bituminous coal. That'll fuel my industry until we hit magma. I've also hit flux, which pleases me greatly- and in clearing it i've found a vein of copper ore plus various gems. Massive upsurge in wealth. :P

A promising marksdwarf didn't take well to military life. He complained about long patrols and complained about being relieved of duty. There was just no pleasing him. Eventually he murdered another dwarf in a fit of rage and was sentenced to 281 days in prison. He finally snapped, just when my legendary weaponsmith was bringing him water. My dwarves seem to think it's okay to have a fully armed and armored prisoner in jail. The prisoner started firing on the weaponsmith, disabling him. Normally I'd just lock the door and wait for the bastard to rot, but the loss of a legendary weaponsmith is hard to take. So I mobilized all squads to the prison. The first two dwarves on the scene were both shot and incapacitated. When my elite dwarves made it even they had a hard time hurting the prisoner in his full suit of adamantine armour.

Thankfully no dwarves (other than the offending prisoner) died. But it is unlikely my weaponsmith will ever walk again. I've had to take two of my squads of trainees off duty because they were unhappy witnessing a fellow dwarf die. I don't want to repeat of what happened so I'm going to let them go about their civilian lives until their happiness improves.

Finally got more mechanisms being made (must remember to punish the mechanic who cleared the repeat request to constantly make them)  and building a vertical axle that will bring power to the magma levels as part of a little project.  Sadly, i cant build a pumpstack quickly as I have no metal on the map.  However, I can breach the HFS and colonize it with dwarven ingenuity...

7 ambushes in 1 ingame day. I am like "Wow, I can't handle that with my 7 swordsdorfs. Better lock up. Wait, what are they doing? Killing eachother..."
I check civilization list and only 1 goblin civilization is visible. Then comes elvish caravan. Oh great.
Then I notice I have 3 caged snatchers. Getting confused.
More than half of those goblins got killed by eachothers, rest are caged or ran away. Merchants moving inside with vomiting mule. Augh, now dorfs gotta clean it.

Then he made grudge wit about 20 other dwarfs (still don't know why - perhaps they were stealing his chair).

? Or just don't set them as available? You can easily leave the grazers for a (short) while and no-one would adopt them if you don't let set them as available to become a pet.
