Procuring a pit with 10 masterful steel discs for purposes of highly amusing prisoner shredding. Maybe I'll add some magma later, so the little flying goblin parts can be set on fire too...

Seemed like a fatal tantrum spiral...maybe forty dead dwarves. Then a huge goblin siege. I had slain the war master, so only trolls supported them. My battered militia, maybe 15 out of the thirty left, all highly skilled fighters...there are worse ways to die.

....we won! hundreds of dead goblins! WE MAY YET STILL STAND.

That depends. Are they Forgotten Beasts? Then yes.

*Kelela Highshields the Moist Violence, a warrior of 105 goblin kills, has just named her 3rd item. I have 4 named objects, and she has 3 of them. Fine, good for her.

Cavercatch the Strangled Anguish (steel short sword with 82 goblins killed)
The Glove-peak of Squirting (a steel shield with one goblin kill)
Eldergores the Pits of Fighting (a large silver dagger with one mountain goat killed)

She carries both the sword and the knife in her right hand, at the same time. As I write this, she is currently watching a biting demonstration (you can never be too good at biting). A pictures to celebrate the one who likes to name things:

Foo...

I got a Silver Xelic caravan in summer of my first year WHEN ONLY THE DWARF CARAVAN WAS SUPPOSED TO COME IN THE FALL. What gives?

I have no trade depot, and no things to sell (save a bunch of surplus glass blocks from cheated crystal furnace).

My fort is falling apart.

I'm going to try to reach a billion wealth in my game of Dwarf Fortress.

Does that count as victory?

Just drafted my queen into the military since she doesnt seem to be acting like a normal noble, no mandates, she wont sleep in her royal bedroom and she isnt disgusted by all my other dwarves having royal bedrooms. So i gave her an artifact candy axe and stuck her in a room filled with 50 assorted enemies.

The highlights of her first battle

Stabbing a goblin in the face with a candy axe and tearing off his cheek then bashing his face in.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Scratching a goblin so hard she shattered its skull, must have long nails

And biting a reacher's throat and tearing it out multiple times.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Can't wait till the next siege to see if she can solo it as she seems to be doing pretty well

Agreed, queen with super ax is kick ass.

I'd probably nickname her bloody mary (off with their heads!)

Not really. Magnetite amulet for 45600. 'Tubesslings." I do now have a legendary stone crafter, though, and my mayor did want bracelets. :P

and my legendary weaponsmith just made four two handed swords, three of which masterful, all steel. The masterful ones are 13680.

I'm currently being plagued (or at least prevented from fully exploiting the caverns) by a Forgotten Beast made of water that's exuding a poisonous gas. I'm wary of facing it because a) poisonous gas and b) can you kill something that's made out of water?
