Try keeping him there, perhaps in a small buidling with a food chute and floodgate exit. Release the floodgate at the next Goblin seige, see what happens.

It's not the ruler of my civ, it's ruler of goblins, enemies-by-default.

And it's friendly? It's not the 'Cacame Incident', but something new I think?

Won't it be like with friendly goblin tower that turns hostile when siegers of the same civ arrive? A siege AND a megabeast in alliance against me...

That would be FUN(tm).

Well then just look to see if it turns hostile. Or have a cage trap in place of the floodgate and keep him in your dining room.

I prefer solving such situations with axes, tears and blood, rather than a cage on a stick :P

Between losing your military and having the king of Goblins chained up in your throne room, which would you choose?

Between losing your military and having the king Moloch the Ruler of Goblins chained up in your throne room, which would you choose?

The one where there's more blood and Fun, obviously!

Also, fix'd :P

EDIT: Also, the beast is content with sluggishly hunting down camels.

Found out the name of my civ is The Mountain Of Fathers and the king is a drunk. In no way what so ever does this mean my dad drinks...alot. Also some people of this civ worship a deity known as Loli. Although Loli takes the form of a male and is associated with silence.

You can't deny that having the megabeast lord of Goblins caged and on display isn't dwarfier than fighting a battle you know you'll lose. Save your troops, gain a king Moloch the Ruler of Goblins. You'll need them when they come to take their ruler back.

And just in case someone says I'm making up the story...

Sutu on the hills.

Sutu the Friend.

Proof of Sutu's Rulership.

Terstum Dasel the artifact sword and now this friendly Moloch.

I love my 40d fort <3

Just took down an FB but it cost me. Several dwarves including half my squad of swordsdwarves died of infection. I tried to throw together a soap industry but they all died before I could get my first bar out. On the bright side the rest of my dwarves are taking the losses in stride.

Clearly Moloch is on vacation. He decided to go visit a quaint, rustic dwarven town and perhaps casually slaughter a few animals as a break from wholesale slaughter of humans elves dwarves all life.

Go look him up in legends mode, see what he's done.

You're not looking at this right.  The one where you hold onto him until the next goblin siege contains MUCH more blood.  In one situation, he slaughters the goblins; in another possible chain of events, he turns and slaughters you.  Instead you might stand around with him killing camels, maybe?

And when you build your fortress walls from the bones of skeletal elephants, slain my weapons forged from melted goblin plunder, fed on cattle that graze on grass that blinks.  Then, you will know dwarfdom.

I believe the Moloch is on vacation all the time.

And look at the group of which he is member. Is that guild of pacifist monsters or what?

This is crazy.

@TolyK: Here be it.

Tombvoiced just enjoyed a simultaneous Hill Titan attack (it was made out of green glass), a goblin siege, and 11 elf ambushes. A single troll slew the Titan somehow, and the goblins were overrun by the elfs. It was impressive that the elfs attacked on war tigers, war grizzlies and war polar bears, but they still went down relatively easily. And now, the spoils of war to me! Funderful.

I can't seem to hold a fort down these days. I start something up (after going through 10 - 15 pocket regions to find a world that actually has metal in it), then abandon a few in game years later. I'm just not taking the tedious* extra step of pumping out millions of rock crafts to buy every single copper instrument that turns up.

I want to go back to .18, when it was fun*. But I want all the new stuff in .19. So I guess I'll just have to wait. What I can't wait for though is the rest of the caravan arc, where hopefully it won't be so awful*.
