((Are our weapons magical or something?))
Garnassiath follows his teammates.
Alexandria follows as well, her glance shifting side to side as if she was searching for something.

Tolan unsheathes his dagger and follows the group.  "Woo... Ash beaches.  Probably gonna have to burn these clothes when we get back."

You descend into the earth.

If possible, the silence deepens, becoming emptier, more menacing the further down you go into this wound in the earth. You can feel the wrongness in the air around you, the death and desolation.

You walk for what seems like hours, and then...

you reach the bottom.

The floor levels out, opening into a large chamber roughly ten meters across and twenty long, the entire far wall consisting of a massive stone door, its surface covered with images of death and desolation, of monsters more horrible than even the Shadows you have fought so far, all except a flat panel set at roughly chest-height.

[Everything is Silent]

[You feel yourself being watched]

(Alexandria) The shadows have eyes that stare at us.... the air is foul with whispers of death. She mummers just loud enough for those around her to hear.

Kyle looks over at Alexandria.
"You sound really pretentious when you say shit like that."

Almost as if to prove you wrong, the door in front of you begins to open, and the first motion you've seen since entering this place occurs as they're suddenly slammed open by... something enormous, completely filling the doorway. Vaguely man-shaped, but without a head, and with hands replaced with massive, cleaver-like blades, and a single, bloodshot eye embedded in its chest, along with a jagged row of teeth in its stomach. Its skin is black as coal, and ichor drips from the edge of its blades. It charges at you.

Layette charges right back, aiming for its eye and posing quite awesomely. ((Imagine she's pointing the spear thingie the way she's going.
Not Layette's description, by the way.))

Kyle gets in position to receive it's charge. And throw it. Using the momentum from it's charge.

Alexandria will attempt side step out of the way of charge and attempt to trip it with her Spiked Chain Whip.

Tolan dodges underneath it and attempts to hamstring it as it charges.

Garnassiath silently unclips a chakram from his bandoleer and throws it at the monster.
