I don't think I ever played the original, but I'll definitely try this out sometime. Not just now, though, I already have too many reasons to procrastinate. :P

Not sure, I never was much of a console gamer so I don't have many controllers lying around. The controls are responsive enough using the keyboard (no mouse required) so I haven't complained.
