Today I was just rampaging in one of my cities when a mechanic guy decides to assault me back. We get into a truffle and he throws me to the floor and is on top of me. Out of desperation, I grab my spear and aim for his lower body and do a swift strike with my spear.

In the look screen, he's literally been gelded. It shows the "x o^ x" thing, which I didn't even know was possible. I feel so bad.

Gelding strikes have been in since gelding was introduced in 40.19. Toady satisfies all our fantasies without the need of mods.

There are no parts. It's literally just a feature of the lower body in certain male creatures.

I only play with DFhack, this is a vanilla feature 

The physical parts don't exist, and the only thing that changes is the name as far as I know.

This needs to be abused to sterilise an entire civ.
Or in Dwarf mode, sterlilise a fort.

I've found silver spears work pretty well. Sure, they'll be retching on the ground with a bruised pancreas or some such quite often, but wait a couple hours and take another stab at them. They seem to geld fairly often, though I'm not quite sure why.
