My facepalm was at the point Tiruin claimed to have roleblocked 4maskwolf for no reason whatsoever and nobody saw that, either.
I was like, "WTF WERENT YOU CLAIMING SEXTON EARLIER?!", all caps and everything at the screen. But no dead-chat to vent to, and definitely no medium to speak with, I couldn't point it out to anyone.

Where did Tiruin claim to have roleblocked 4mask?

I should've not killed Jack A T at night 3, it seems. Cult (slow but surely) went to downright mess.

Tiru-jokes are fun. As somebody who occasionally makes ill-advised jokes, I recognised a fellow spirit.

Totally ^ ^
...Am I really that bad at making subtle jokes? D:

Woo, town win.

To be honest, although the game started well, it sort of went downhill.  Basically, most stuff Day 3 and on was a giant pile of mistakes:
*Flabort tunneled Cheeetar hard.
*Cheeetar tunneled flabort harder.
*I wrote off the real scumteam as incredibly unlikely based on flawed logic.
*4maskwolf botched his fakeclaim in a way that made it really easy to catch (blocking a dead guy N2).
*Nobody caught that.
*Tiruin did a cross-comparison of 4maskwolf's claim and the nightly kills and still missed the giant gaping hole in 4mask's claim.  (This is when I started laughing at how much of a mess the game had become, instead of just complaining about town errors.)
I...think it was made obvious when I linked the whole thing when noting that 4mask 'claimed the nightkills of the scumteam'. [Is this what you meant?]
Blocks happen before ded guys, so it was reasonable when I looked it over. :)

*re-reads*
Omg Toony was dead N1 and I didn't notice it until AFTER I TYPED THE :) UP THERE.
...
I am embarrassed twice over. :-[

I egged myself in the face hard. I suppose there is a reason I don't play very often. : P
At least we're having fun doing it rather than being all GRAWWRRGGG >:( with the H8! :P
You should play more often birdy :) You're a very curious and nice fella!

Good job town. I totally helped.
I apologize over your grave :c
Totally misread the tombstones when I checked over 4mask >.>

...So. Anyone still up for nominating this in the hall? I feel like that would work (given the...total amount of errors by all sides [and "deadchat" commentary :P ])

I recognized it was a joke.  I tend to understand things like that a bit more than most people, though, so I'm not the best judge.

To get this game into the Archive, someone would have to find something exceptionally good about this game.  The Archive is not for highlighting errors and failures, or else Kingmaker 4 would be the majority of the list.

Mmm.

I thought this was a hilarious game that showcases both how to fakeclaim and how NOT to fakeclaim, and had it been anyone BUT ME the scumteam might have won in a near-hopeless scenario, so.. idk.  Do you all think?  it was certainly fun, so even if it's not Archive-worthy it's still going to be among my personal top three favorite games.

What are the other two? CYOMasque, and something else? Orbfalls, perhaps?
I'm completely wrong, I'm betting, but that would be my guess.

CYOM2 and The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.  not sure what order though.  I don't count games that I've run, but my favorite game that I ran was Operation Overlord.

I'm not sure it's worthy of the archives- I had a ton of fun, though. Thank you for the very impressive fakeclaim, 4mask- it made me second guess myself a lot, and the later days were challenging to me due to missing the error with targeting a dead guy.

Which is due to my bad how-to-play-mafia.

Same here--only thing that tip'd me off was NQT's haste to go defensive and attack :3 AND EVEN THEN its a subtle affront compared to when he's town.

But srsly 4mask. OVER-flavor was your fault. While I didn't catch...the...obvious mistake, your detail of the guard 'mentioning for your own good' tipped my curiosity into the danger zone. :) [And sincerity of being alarmed or curious--which I noted a bit when you were doing D4 'Tiruin role doubt!?']

Fakeclaim harder.  :P ^ ^ :D
But yeah, good game all around.
H4zard: Your ambiguity and lack of wanting to vote supported the Survivor note, btw. That was nice. Didn't suspect you primarily till 4mask did the overflavor because...I seriously was second-guessing TDS. Ahah. :-[

Meheheh. The problem is I get too hard into these kinds of games. I did what I could to dissociate from the action, buuuut I still tend to be an emotional character who follows my gut, then allows the mind to fill in the invisible blanks that aren't really blanks at all. It was almost a relief to have been NKed, as I probably would have spent Day 3 hunting down two players, neither of which would have been scum.

Anyways, I think Mafia kind of stresses me out to the point where playing isn't always fun. It's not to say I don't enjoy myself at times, but the overall stress of making an argument, keeping your crap straight, and constantly second guessing yourself until you achieve the perfect presentation lest you suffer just/unjust prosecution is difficult on the ol' nerves. Defending myself I do easily enough, but the real issues come when I'm accusing someone and begin to doubt that I have the right idea. So, I'll have to take a pass on future games, at least till that gets sorted out.

Though, while I'm here...

Nope, although it is an interesting idea.
