You forgot the additional cost of adding +1 to the melee damage, 3 Offense Essence at the moment. Although that seems a bit pricy to me... I'm going to reshape the +1 Damage cost. Which takes you to zero. Unless- nah. +1 Damage now costs 1+2x Offense Essence, though this may change in the future. So yes, that's a valid action now.

I kinda intended Tap Essence Font to be expensive to use. When you think about it, swarms of Font-draining swarmlings would honestly drive the game crazy. But if you want to do that... apply Flaws. You could just apply the Element Weakness flaw a few dozen times and receive all the Essence Credit you could want in a lifetime. On the down side, instant death against your chosen element.
Nevermind, I'm limiting Element Weakness.
