Akane uses her sword to gather the souls.
Alice leaves the uncommon room and heads for the dorm cafeteria, she notices Kumo and heads over to sit with him after grabbing a few six "cherry" cokes.
"Hello Kumo, mind if I sit here with you?"

Most of them are gathered without incident, as though grateful to finally be able to leave, although one holds on for a second before also being gathered. The room is now completely dark again.

Alice places the cans down, opens one and begins drinking. "So what have you been up to Kumo?" Alice says putting down the first can and begins opening her second can.

Alice finishes her second can, wiping a sliver of blood that has run down from her lips with her hand. "About what?" She asks before opening another can.

Is Akane able to see through the Maze walls with her soul vision?

She doesn't see anything when not specifically focusing on the walls, but when she tries to look through the walls, she sees a blinding flash rather similar to what happens when she looks at certain individuals, and can't see anything else.
