Larissa crams the entire rib into her mouth in an effort to grab Jana's attention.
"Yuri," she says between mouthfuls, "I stand by what I said earlier. This is the best I have had."

"Hoy, Yuri. What is going on? Why does Larissa seem uncharacteristically hungry?"

Fred walks over, still holding his trumpet.

His finger is hovering over a strange, triangular rune inscribed on the bell of the trumpet.

"My food seems to induce that in people, although Miss Trude, I fear, doesn't enjoy it as much."

"Hoy, Yuri. What is going on? Why does Larissa seem uncharacteristically hungry?"

"I HUNGER!"
"Umm... What do you mean, uncharacteristically?"

((I just realised that Yuri is possibly the best husbando for everyone. Larissa will finally have all the food she likes, Jana will have a supportive person, Trude will...well, be able to fight while leaving Yuri to guard the house, etc. etc.. ))

Fred puts his finger on the rune, and the etching glows purple. A moment later, his trumpet collapses in on itself, before expanding again into a clarinet. He plays a few notes.

"Huh. It works."

"Hoy, Yuri. What is going on? Why does Larissa seem uncharacteristically hungry?"

"I HUNGER!"
"Umm... What do you mean, uncharacteristically?"

"Never seen you eat so much before." Fred raises his eyebrows.

"Your grin and false tone say otherwise, 'pure blood' bloodsucker."
Madi glares, an intense frown on her face.

Yukari is....kinda stuck for what to do here.

"Uhh... have you ever seen me eat?"

"I have a lot of spare time, and I'm naturally suspicious. I have seen a lot of people eat."

Fred starts playing 'On a Hymnsong of Philip Bliss'.

Fred presses a more ornate looking square rune on his clarinet. A similar thing happens, but it opens up onto a flute.

Larissa looks at the flute with interest.
"Do you play the flute?"

"You have no idea..."
Jana continues to eat.
