"Reading. You?" You note there is a relatively large pile of books on his desk. The subjects vary from alteration of the cerebral lobe to generic telepathy, to functional multiform shapeshifting.

Jana continues to nap, although anyone with sharp hearing, or just listening closely, would hear a faint... Whimpering? Usually followed by a rather quiet snarl, and then rinse and repeat. It's all a bit odd.

Whimper, snarl, whimper, snarl... There's an obvious pattern here. Beyond that, she's not making any other sounds... Not counting her breathing, of course.

Kumo winces away from the foxfire.

She... Doesn't seem to have heard James, on account of sleeping.

Will nods, though Wiles might not be looking back to see it. "All gone..."

"Did you say something? If so, speak up. I can't come up with seemingly inaccurate conclusions to things based on the most seemingly-unimportant details that always end up being correct if you don't give me said details to work with."

"Well, yes. It's what any detective worth their salt does. What, you think we come to logical conclusions based on evidence we have found? No, we just zero in on the seemingly insignificant details, join them up and then discover that we were right. It usually works."
And she doesn't react at all, or at least it seems that way. The next whimper seems a bit louder, though.
