"America is arguably the sovereign state with the most influence in this world. Due to a large-scale war, it gained a powerful economy which has effectively become ingrained in global markets to the point where it is too important to fall and an arsenal of advanced weapons capable of effectively bringing ruin to every living being on the planet.

It also may or may not secretly fund the foes it fights and secretly commit atrocities in order to maintain credibility and thus preserve it's place as effectively the ruling party of this world, whilst attempting to bring force mass surveillance in order to further solidify its control in spite of the risks that the non-static power-structure may change and those very tools may be used against them. Oh, and in spite of all this, and the uncertain degree to which the media is complicit within this, it is also entirely debatable whether or not we are better off with an allegedly, arguably totalitarian regime or the chaotic power-vacuum that would be it's absence.

"People are still stuck on that middle ages stuff? I've never seen a necromancer, but - and I'm assuming you are one - you seem pretty cool to me. I haven't seen much of necromancers from Skyrim either, though."

"Everyone has fears. It is only natural that it would drive people against each other. Still, it isn't all bad, this has mainly been confined to an ideological conflict, fought with ideals and at most, some economic or public-relations losses. The world will keep on spinning, people will continue to die, and perhaps one day, when we are all long gone, others will look back and laugh at our foolish notions, only to stay awake at night, pondering their newest incarnations. Man arose from beasts. From evolution. Old mechanisms lie dormant and yet still come to life. Violence. Paranoia. They were not designed for such a world, nor were truly designed. Nonetheless, it is humanity's cross to bear, and so long as the world is run by the pragmatic, or at very least, the sane, little will come of it, no matter how much they stumble beneath it's weight."
