How would healing magic give you cancer? It's an abnormality, the healing magic would have be able to cause mutations and defects as well to cause one. Plus, I'd imagine that it isn't too hard to remove cancer using magic.

The main issue with fighting I healer, I'd imagine, is that they can heal and you can't.

Well, my thinking is that since healing is just rapidly multiplying cells in a way your body can't, why can't they multiply cells so that when you leave the fight, you do so with a dozen or so tumors in your lungs?

Depends on how the healing works. If it's just increasing the bodies' natural speed of repair, then no dice. Rapidly multiplying a cell type might work, but it's likely said cells would either break apart or starve very quickly, since no infrastructure is there to support it.
