Think the term you're looking for is Captain Ersatz. An Expy is one that resembles another character with major differences. Captains Ersatz are basically the character under a different name.

Expy would be what Sabrina is to Sumia. Captain Ersatz is what Wiles would be to Skulduggery Pleasant.

Besides which, I've been trying to figure out what to do with Wiles to make him something other than 'Skulduggery Pleasant but younger'. It's a work-in-progress.
