Keep in mind that Malice isn't just hate. It's also any other negative emotion, though at least with Tor it's pretty much all anger and hatred. It's just called Malice bacause it sounds cool and that's the easiest way to harvest large amounts of it: hatred and consuming anger.

Don't Onryo murder everything other than what they're actually targeting? I wonder if she'll meet the requirements for becoming a goryo if someone just gives her some sort of arbitrary though entirely meaningless title of nobility, at least those things can do something somewhat useful.
