Bio: Marceli Przemek Dominik Sniegowski is the product of a chance and productive meeting between the lord of the Piatek family and an attractive peasant woman living on his lands. When Marceli was born his father recognized him as his son and gave him a small place in his household during his childhood. Despite his parentage Marceli led a reasonably happy life growing up, even with well-placed hostility from Lady Piatek and her maids. Lord Piatek had produced more than his fair share of children, and so Marceli has many fond memories of running around and playing with his half-siblings. But he could not live on Lord Piatek's generosity all his life, and so he was taught how to ride, shoot and fight as soon as he was old enough to hold a bow. He also learned a smattering of letters from the local priest, just barely enough to get by in his future endeavours. When he became of age, Marceli was gifted an old coat of mail and a new bow from his father before being sent out into the world to make his fortune or die trying.

Deciding that he liked the former more than the latter, Marceli signed up with the local dragoon regiment to hunt down bandits and support himself. But he quickly found out that the discipline and structure of military life was not to his liking and deserted at the first opportunity that showed itself. He did however find out that drinking, gambling and the other pleasures of military life were to his liking and so went out in search of a mercenary band to join, reasoning that they'd be more relaxed and enjoyable to be with.

Marceli was mostly correct in his assessment, and spent the next few years of his life fighting, partying and getting up into no good. He enjoyed great victories, made and lost large sums of money, earned many friends and suffered more than his fair share of defeats and wounds. But even during his lowest points, when he was left hungry, wet, cold and running from his latest enemies, Marceli never thought of finding a different profession. After all, he was a bastard and knew nothing more than fighting. If he didn't make his fortune or die trying (or most likely both) as a mercenary and a scoundrel, then he didn't have much of a life to look forward too.

Still have to do a mug for him, but eh. That'll come later if I do get selected which isn't certain at the moment.

I swear I remember hearing something about a case like that once before. Can't remember how it turned out, though it doesn't really matter. GM says no, and GM's word is law.

Anyway, I would love some mugging help. I need a woman in some decent armor (she's a wyvern rider after all, and semi-tanky besides), and she needs both a bare-headed version with elven ears and a helmeted version that would cover said ears. Dark brown hair. I would attempt to do this myself but I don't have a lot of free time

Bio:
Alicia was born to a life of luxury, the daughter of a high-class merchant in Oldrydn. She was given all she wanted, even the rather ungirlish items like a war axe and trainer to teach her the use of that axe.  She still grew bored of that life, and as soon as she was able she hired out as a mercenary. She is now working for a thief group in a major city in Tairani.
As a member of the higher class of Oldryn, she is distrustful of non-humans, but having made friends with a half-dwarf servant she is not as much so as some, and is willing to work with them. With humans, she is generally kind and polite, although brutally honest. With non-humans, she tends to distance herself unless in the heat of combat. In general, she does not take it well when someone wounds a companion, be they human or not.

Bio:
When Kaltsar was a young boy growing up in a small village in Verwar, he was friends with a young girl. Beautiful, intelligent, and gifted with magic, Kaltsar was enamored with her from a young age. As she grew into adulthood, word of her beauty and skill began to travel, and a young lord from a nearby city came, demanding that she marry him. She refused. At first, the refusals were courteous, and so too were the young lord's insistences that she would come to rethink her decision. But the young woman did not relent, and the lord's patience grew thin. Her parents were ordered killed, and when she learned of this, she cursed the young lord's name. In a fit of rage, the young lord lashed out with his lance, and impaled the young girl. Kaltsar, acting on instinct, charged the lord with his woodcutting axe. With his lance buried in the woman's body, the lord was unable to defend himself, and had his neck cut. For reasons Kaltsar could only guess at, the lord's entourage did nothing to stop or capture him as they returned to the lord's father to report his fate. Kaltsar was forced to flee from his home, and has been reduced to taking whatever jobs he can find to support himself. Currently, Kaltsar is running with a group of thieves, and as long as they primarily target nobles and wealthy merchants, he will likely continue to.

Bio: Layette grew up in the knowledge-filled Cleper, but (much to her unending disappointment) was born too poor to afford being able to learn and not magically inclined enough to warrant being taken in by anyone, so she never gained any magic ability herself. Shortly after her fifteenth birthday and eighth year on the streets, Layette realized she couldn't rely on charity for much longer, and turned to thieving.
   Along the way she became quick and accurate with a knife, going in before her opponent knew what happened. It wasn't long before she realized that a sword wasn't much different from a knife, so why shouldn't Layette ditch the stabbing stick and go for something more eloquent?
   Years later and Layette has gotten better all the time with a sword. She found a band of fellow thieves soon after leaving Cleper and ran with them since then.

Bio:
Orphaned from a rich family, Apollo was raised in luxury, spoiled by sycophantic servants and friends, and given all his desires. Being an only child helped immensely. All was not to last, as his parents suffered a tragic 'accident', and the inheritance went to his uncle, who cast him out in favor of his own son.

With no where to go and no one to turn to, Apollo spent months on the streets he loathed, until kindly priests took him and sheltered him in their church. Though unused to the meager meals and itchy clothing, Apollo grew to be pious and devout, if not still haughty and vain.

Bio: Born in Oldrdyn to an elf and a dwarf, Julia is a dwelf. While her heritage didn't effect her behavior around her parents it certainly influenced how she acted around the other children. She appeared small and delicate, taking after her mother's looks but her father's height, and being a girl, one with different colored eyes at that, she was often teased and picked on. She also had few friends due to being the daughter of the protected as well as the teasing. At first she simply ignored them, telling herself she was better than those simple humans/dwarves/elves.

But as the years progressed the teasing only intensified and she started to suffer self-esteem issues. This changed one day when her harassers started to mock/tease the very few friends she had managed to make. She punched one right out and managed to fight off the other two, returning home covered in cuts and bruises. Her parents feared for her and their future if she continued to be violent, they would obviously cease to be protected. However there were no more incidents, simply because the harassers were too scared to tease her and her friends now, so her parents didn't pressure her too hard about it.

By the time she entered adulthood she was already one very strange woman. She had no real skills other than fighting (and housework but she hated doing it) but wasn't nearly skilled enough to be a protected by her own skill. Not wanting to mooch off her parents she left, vowing to return strong enough to become protected. She eventually found work in Tairani and managed to somehow acquire a pegasus so she could become a mercenary.

Bio:
Shilleka is a ragged looking sort. Clad in clothes clearly scavenged, a horned skull of some kind rests on her head. She seems primal - something untamed shies through in her very movements, granting her a daunting aspect that few can put their finger on. Some blame it on the horned skull forever to be found on her head

Shilleka is a dark mage. Not through any great study or finesse - she forces the magic to her will, sending it against her enemies with unpredictable effects. Of course, such crude methods are destructive to the tomes she uses, but the malformed magic can linger on an enemy, corroding them like a poison.

A feral child, she was found in the forested mountains of south-west Tairani by a reclusive mage. Over the course of time,  he taught her language and attempted, at least, to teach her some manners. It was from him she learned of magic, of not directly - one day she attempted to mimic what he did.

The mage was rather unhappy with what she'd done. She'd risked herself (and wrecked his study in the process). His priceless tome of ancient dark magic was all but ruined. Thinking that he'd not forgive her, she ran away in the night, planning to find a replacement.

She wandered a while in civilisation, in the end falling in with a band of thieves. The only people who tended to have such tomes were the rich and powerful... and while she didn't care too much about the gold, they were the best option to get what she was looking for.

Bio:
Kaldach stands at about 5'11" with unkempt, shoulder length jet-black hair and a small patch on his chin, at about 23 years of age.

A man of few words and fewer compulsions, Kaldach's father is part of a lineage of powerful magicians with strange, untapped power who served key roles in the leadership of Tairani. His family holds pride in this power to a fault, as they eternally try to seek more powerful individuals who can help bolster their family to greater heights. Unfortunately for him, he himself did not inherit any of the magical skill as foretold, which has led him to being somewhat shunned from his family. However, the bloodline seems to manifest itself in his fighting skills with certain magical weapons. In particular, he shows exemplary skill in wielding hazardous Devil's weaponry, which amplifies the wielder's strength to inhuman levels at the occasional cost of the wielder's health. His brutal style while wielding these weapons has earned him the moniker 'The Crimson Terror' in some circles, and he has used this reputation well in his self-styled profession of bounty hunting and vigilanteism. For a good couple years, local Tairani bandit groups would dread his name, should word get around he was even within a day's distance.

While he has done a lot of mercenary work in his time, within the last few months there's apparently been someone working against him. Guards and clients that once trusted him have now turned their backs, and a few towns have even been actively looking to arrest him. Forced to suspend his work for a time and begin traveling farther off, he eventually had a run in with a more modest group of thieves unaware of his reputation. Offering his sword hand as more muscle in the group's misadventures, Kaldach hoped he could eventually uncover the truth as to his unknown hunter's motives.

Angus stands at about 6'2", with smooth black hair and a scar on his chin, at about 28 years of age.

Loud. Boisterous. To some, obnoxious. Others, the life of the party. Angus lived a jovial and happy life in Verwar's eastern lands with his parents and older brother Liam, chasing skirts and enjoying a simple work life, hauling lumber by day and enjoying a good pint with his friends at night. Though carefree, he always held a sort of careful spite of the ruling nobles of Verwar, disliking their lax rule over their lands and demanding tribute with little presence. Liam, however, held a different viewpoint, arguing that the nobility's claim was legit, though their methods were inappropriate.

Come the time when Arer would seek their independence from Verwar, Angus and his father would cautiously support them in spirit. Unfortunately, one day a group of soldiers knocked down the door to their simple cottage. His father surrendered and was taken away, and Angus assembled what belongings he could and fled quietly before being noticed. Days passed as he fled eastward into Oldrdyn and beyond, clutching onto a note that had been left in his pack. A small note from his brother Liam, containing only an apology, and a promise that he would set things right one day. Swearing to find his brother again, Angus continued east, hoping he could recollect himself and find just what his brother had done.

Along his journey, his attempts to gather information had drawn the attention of some bandits looking for an easy mark. Though he could evade them the first time, Angus found himself on the run for many days trying to evade them, even through towns he stayed in. In his flight, he would run into a thieves group who offered their help to get Angus under the bandit's radar. All too eager to get some more information, Angus accepted their help, and in turn started to help them with a few of their capers.

Bio: An orphan dwarf who fell in with a group of thieves in the city of Kerth in Tairani. He was (and still is) constantly picked on for his height, as even for a dwarf he is quite short at only four feet tall. He's usually quick to defend himself by pointing out that in his line of work being a shortarse is a good thing, since he can hide in shadows much easier than his bigger compatriots, fit into smaller spaces, and is generally harder to fight when push comes to shove because the average guard isn't used to attacking or being attacked from that low a position.

Although members constantly come and go in the group due to various reasons (arrests, for example), Taft has stayed active and constant since the age of ten... and considering he recently turned twenty-five, he's starting to think of heading out of Kerth for a new city. Leaving the lifelong familiar environs would be quite a step for the dwarf and so he hasn't done it yet, but he's aware it's only a matter of time before he ends up in irons himself if he stays; the guards are getting too familiar with his tricks.

Bio: Marceli Przemek Dominik Sniegowski is the product of a chance and productive meeting between the lord of the Piatek family and an attractive peasant woman living on his lands. When Marceli was born his father recognized him as his son and gave him a small place in his household during his childhood. Despite his parentage Marceli led a reasonably happy life growing up, even with well-placed hostility from Lady Piatek and her maids. Lord Piatek had produced more than his fair share of children, and so Marceli has many fond memories of running around and playing with his half-siblings. But he could not live on Lord Piatek's generosity all his life, and so he was taught how to ride, shoot and fight as soon as he was old enough to hold a bow. He also learned a smattering of letters from the local priest, just barely enough to get by in his future endeavours. When he became of age, Marceli was gifted an old coat of mail and a new bow from his father before being sent out into the world to make his fortune or die trying.

Deciding that he liked the former more than the latter, Marceli signed up with the local dragoon regiment to hunt down bandits and support himself. But he quickly found out that the discipline and structure of military life was not to his liking and deserted at the first opportunity that showed itself. He did however find out that drinking, gambling and the other pleasures of military life were to his liking and so went out in search of a mercenary band to join, reasoning that they'd be more relaxed and enjoyable to be with.

Marceli was mostly correct in his assessment, and spent the next few years of his life fighting, partying and getting up into no good. He enjoyed great victories, made and lost large sums of money, earned many friends and suffered more than his fair share of defeats and wounds. But even during his lowest points, when he was left hungry, wet, cold and running from his latest enemies, Marceli never thought of finding a different profession. After all, he was a bastard and knew nothing more than fighting. If he didn't make his fortune or die trying (or most likely both) as a mercenary and a scoundrel, then he didn't have much of a life to look forward too.

Bio:
Korhal was once a human boy that was afraid of everything combat-related. Which kinda posed a problem whenever he had to join the militia of his village against whatever beast, bandit or other enemy decided to drop a visit.

That changed one day, shortly after his twentieth birthday, when he was attacked in the forest by a bear. He had already made peace with the gods when the bear finally swiped its paw at Korhal's face. Miracle happened; the bear's face was mauled and Korhal suffered only a scratch. He insists that a golden silhouette of a human, or elf, appeared before him and called him 'son'.

The once afraid boy became a confident man and finally began to help his fellow villagers. Instead of wielding a club, he began to heal people as the encounter also gave him magical powers. He even became a frontline healer and those that dared to lay hand on them suffered malicious wounds out of nowhere. Korhal even began to say that 'Qhorin watches' over him, punishing those who try to harm Qhorin's son.

As he grew a bit older and gained valuable combat experience, he grew bored with his mediocre life as a gifted villager, and ventured into the world to become a gifted mercenary. His foolhardy behavior and rushing to the frontline have already costed Korhal his left small and ring fingers. But he is not afraid, as Qhorin watches over him!

[Merchant guard option] It wasn't long before he began working as caravan guard. Not only it gets him places, but the amount of combat and challenge varies greatly from being part of a militia of a small backwater settlement.

[Thief option] Unfortunately, legal ventures were unfavorable to Korhal, so he decided to don the cloak of 'darkness', and began aiding thieves and bandits with his healing and peculiar powers. Those who tried to cross him and lifted their blades against him quickly learned that he doesn't boast about being 'gifted' at all.
