And swords generally have the ability to block and parry, a property that Plastubes tend to lack.

Reminds me of a fantasy series I read once, where swordsmen were sometimes referred to as 'blade-splicers' or 'splicers of men'.

I'm positive that a 'plastic sword' is much more representative of the product George sells to kids than the 'not heavy sabre' it is called now.

Lightsaber by a mile. Plasword is just kind of awkward. "Plasma sword" would be more of a contender, though, because 'plasma' beats 'light' while 'saber' beats 'sword'.

Though 'vibroblade' handily beats both of them, naturally.
