"... well perhaps I might be able to help- somehow? Excuse me..."

No focuses a bit and begins shaping his power into essences.

Facechewer looks back, smiles and nods in a grandfatherly manner.

"By all means. But tell the others what exactly you're doing, though. This magic business is slightly odd, you know."

"I am making essences, a time-tested method to empower and enhance spells. With enough essences, I could, for example, switch the minds of everybody in our group. I've done that before."

No continues making essences.

]"I would like to stay myself, thank you." Axel wanders around for a bit scanning the ground. After retrieving Cobb's lighter he returns it to the bear.

Cobb whistles.
"Good shot."

Essences are formed from the aether, straining No's ability, but forming correctly nonetheless.

"This is going to take a while."

"About this....err, mind-swapping essence thing, did ye ever notice any side effects?"

"Essences are not usually a problem. Unless I try to make more than three at once, but I don't bother with that. But the spell for swapping minds- well I got it slightly wrong, and it affected me also. Then I got assaulted by angry mages. Not fun."

"Hold a moment, so all those magical fairy tales and folk stories are truly true?"

"Well, I don't know about your world, but in mine, there were a wide variety of magic creatures and mages."

No tops off another essence.

"Probably a safe assumption. We're in bloody space with giant hairy Cornetto cones, a poor lad who can never know the beauty of getting drunk and trying to save what looks like a lady from the times of Queen Vicky from serving 'im tea."

"It would be inadvisable to move someone into my body. Brain is severely different compared to human and humans lack the normal adaptability of mind that my strain holds. At a minimum insanity would be the end result."

"There are a few parasites in my reality that feed on human minds. They don't eat KX9, too different."

"Pedantry is a dull habit to have. Now is the time for-why, I do believe I'll take my own advice," Facechewer says, exhaling a cloud of smoke as he walks back to the hole and takes a few moments to retrieve that hole-making device, if he is at all able to.
(We dropped several feet from that balcony to the floor of the room below.)
(Also jeez, this moved fast while I slept)

"Look around, kid. There are two, maybe three humans here. Still not sure about Mr. Facechewer there. And No is magic, which can do strange things to a mind. Why are we switching minds anyway, though? How is that supposed to help?"
