I have played werewolf with friends and family before but not on forums, only irl.

And I read through a few turns and all the stuff you guys posted and you basically ask people questions and if you they are being suspicious then you vote red and if you might vote for them its blue.
Keep in mind that meatspace mafia/werewolf tends to be far simpler and faster than forum mafia. Forum mafia also tends to last a long time, with a few exceptions like the Vengeful setup (the last two were pretty fast).

We should probably write up an addendum to the BM OP text with the differences between real-life and forum mafia, since a lot of people seem to have played that before and may come in expecting things to go in similar ways.

Yeah, to a certain extent.  A lot of games start with some tactical discussion, but NUKE9.13 always made them much bigger and much more convoluted.  Most players, though, just want to get out of that initial phase as quickly as possible and get into long arguments about each other being scum.

US Air Force Facility Homey Airport, Nevada.

Project Wellpump had not been the most useful of efforts.  The study of technology recovered from the Roswell crash site had not been fruitful, and many researchers had been pulled from the project.  Only eight people were still actively determining what the recovered items did and how they worked.

On May 13th, 2015, there was a major breakthrough.  The team determined that one recovered device could be used to alter the thoughts and memories of any human being.  The Mental Manipulation Device (MMD), as it was now called, seemed likely to be of great use to the US government.

On May 15th, the device disappeared.  Upon discovery, the Project Wellpump lab went into lockdown, trapping the eight researchers within.  Base management sent for an independent investigator to determine who took the device.

The eight researchers watched as the only entrance to the lab opened, likely for the last time in a few days, and the investigator entered.  As he stepped through the door, he said one word: "Ayyyyyye."


Day 1 has begun!  Roo is the known townie!

Peradon: If you were the jailor, would you jail the confirmed townie Night 1?

Generally me: Does this FoS unsettle you?

Tiruin: If, as a regular townie, you thought you knew who the jailor was but they were up for lynching, what would you do?

OSG: It's Day 3 and two townies have been lynched. If several people start pushing a lynch on someone who doesn't seem scummy to you, what would you do?

Well, I've never had a game with a cult before, so I guess I'd rate myself as a beginner.
