Eh, excellent.

All I'm asking for is unique sword skills for our protags and I'm in. Or a ranged weapon, since I'm pretty sure nobody used one in Aincrad, though it would make sense to have one if you wanted a realistic RPG.

I'm thinking. It could benefit from having a map to allow more tactical fights, but I'm terrible at map making.

You play a guy who is in charge of defence of something, you have resources to spend to prepare for the next attack (building fortifications, training militia, hiring soldiers, buying weapons or whatever)

I'd be for this.

There was one time that someone decided to try a tower defense, but due to the strange way he made the system, everyone got bonuses to their rolls, except me, who's elements opposed everyone else, so I got minuses so bad that I'd roll things like -6, where I'd try to make a trench to slow down enemies, and wind up with a mountain instead. So I was still powerful, I just did the exact opposite of what I tried to do.

You should have tried to save the enemies. Then your horrible rolls would kill them.

I think I tried to make a healing crystal and wound up with a poison one, actually.

I'd be game for a World of Darkness game. It's very much underrated.

Particularly if it's played through spoilers, so that players can try to hide that they're a vampire/werewolf/wizard/changeling/harbinger of the apocalypse from the other players, and try to RP through that.

Obviously, keep it so people RPing can read each other's speech spoilers, so the game doesn't get bogged down.
