D4 - MM1927 (Degtyaryov machine gun) Reverse Engineering (Small Project)=1/2 - Again, basically flipped a coin as neither of the left over teams were really suitable for these middle two. The Special Projects Team gets this one.
D5 - MM1934 - Home grown machine gun gets the Gun Engineering Team.

Fall/Winter 1934

 So, work goes underway as normal. Atleast, as normal as it gets in this place.

 On the design front work goes well in most areas. The aero team reports that the SMM1934 Double has been designed and the plans have been filed. The resulting weapons is exactly what was requested, as the team had a few issues here and there.

 The weapons team, happy with their team composition, crank out the MM1934 with gusto, while making a few modifications here and there. The resulting weapon is slightly lighter and can load from side-mounted boxes or drums, or simply from lengths of ammunition belts. Some among them think that it will be a better weapon than the MM1927 in nearly every respect.

 In the land of reverse engineering, the naval team has apparently never heard what reverse engineering means. Instead of simply taking the SM1911 apart and making plans, they instead thought their job was to make it better. As a result, we now have the SM1911/34. The resulting weapon is easier to produce, slightly lighter, and now has a full-auto function which makes it nearly impossible to control. They also designed a 20 round mag for the gun for use in that situation. Perhaps best of all, we cant get sued for it, since its technically an original design inspired by the 1911.
 It also looks a hell of alot more cool.

 The Special Projects team, meanwhile, did not have a good time. Oh, they managed to reverse engineer their gun alright, but it took them nearly the whole half year and it is identical in every sense to the original.

 In the land of constructions some work was done. AF1 was completed in good time, and workers started tooling it(One line tooled). AEF1 was completed even faster, and has all its lines tooled, and both the VF1 and NF1 have been completed on schedule as ordered.

 Meanwhile, the council has bad news. According to our spies one of our neighbors has become increasingly hostile to us, and our spies report that they are starting a program of militarization aswell. It is unknown when, they will attack our fair nation, but we know they will.

-TURN CONTINUED IN FALL/WINTER 1934 PART TWO-

This is mostly so you guys can choose if you want to use our new MG in tooling. And also so I can get the other thread to choose what to use. It may be a bit.

Oh, and that M1911 reverse engineering? That thing overshot by 49 points. Meanwhile, the MG reverse engineer only succeeded because they had extra time, and the SMM1934 Double was also close to failure. Same with CT3.

How many extra traits can we get for the M-1 Machinegun?

Also, I suggest we start phasing out some our older weaponry in favor of our newly developed armaments. For example, start replacing the lines tooled for the Nagant Revolvers with our new SM1911/32 thingy.
