"In all honesty, I believe Alexander is on our side, and at the very least isn't with the Titans. I have no idea how or why he's able to do what he is, but like we've said, he could have killed us plenty of times between then and now. And, yet, I still seem to not be a pool of bloody slush on the floor. Including the fact that I trained with Alexander for five years and would practically trust him with my life, this is good enough reason for me, sir."

The judge nods, then gestures for whoever wants to go next.

Eric stands and takes the stand before anyone else can steal this from him  . While fixing his glasses.

"This thing is dangerous and must be in containment. I think a good point to start is with the fact the suspect had attempted to assault me with a deadly weapon, the swords made to kill its kind. I do believe that many of you where witnesses to this, correct?"

"After you provoked him with actions such as dehumanizing, and verbal assault, yes."
Tobias speaks up.

[SOLDIER First]

"I was also witness to verbal provocation on your part immediately beforehand, Eric. So, while pretty stupid, it wasn't simply because he's a Titan. _{Anyone would have wanted to do it after five minutes with you..."}

"I stayed silent when it was your turn, and yet you speak when you like? If we assume that your course of events was correct, it would mean nothing. This thing is dangerous. If it can be provoked to violence with a few words, then it needs to be locked up for the safety of humanity, if not put down."

"I was answering your question. But while I am speaking, I must note that your verbal assault has taken place since we learned of Alexander's ability. That is all."

"I am sure you heard the civilians on the way here. Many of them do not quite like this dangerous thing, and where quite happy making that fact known. From what they tell us, it seems like the subject will go on a rampage the second someone looks funny at him. They confirm my story, this is a violent creature who has to be contained for the safety of us all."
