You slowly open your eyes, taking in the light of the rising sun. Your nest of hay is matted down from your movement during the night. Stepping down, you stretch and think about finding some food. There's usually some mice scurrying about the village stores.

Hunting mice would take entirely too much effort. Meowl at our human to bring us food. Then once he brings it, sniff it incredulously and refuse to eat it. Take a nap instead.

Then eat it when he's not looking.

You own no humans to hunt for you, so you pad off towards the humans' storehouse. There's usually mice there.
As you near the structure, you are assaulted by prey-scent. The hunting should be good today.

Unfortunately the wind changes just before you enter, carrying your scent in the preys' direction. They may be more alert now.

Despite this, you spot a mouse trying to get into one of the large grain bags.

The small creature is completely oblivious as you pounce on it, killing it with a swift bite to the neck. You could hide your catch and try for another, or take what you have back to your current nest and eat there.

You cover the mouse's body with some nearby straw and continue with your hunt.

You are only able to catch one more mouse before another spots you and shrieks. You try to catch this mouse for its troubles, but it escaped into a hole in the wall before you can get to it.

Still, you gather your two catches and bring them back to your nest. You finish one and bury the other in some hay for later as the one sated your hunger.

You're feeling a bit thirsty. There's a stream you could go to, though humans are usually near it at this time of day.
