Would anyone be interested in a silent let's play?

Basically a video of gameplay, with boring parts cut out or sped up and maybe onscreen text once in a while. What is your opinion on this?

Honestly, if done humerously it would work.  Check out Danny's Kerbal Space Program, it seems sort of similar to what you are describing, sort of.

Actually, I was thinking more about horror games, for example, right now I'm playing SCP: Containment Breach, and thought it would be a cool game to record. It's for people who want to see what the game looks like, without someone talking in the background.

I'm quite sure the term "let's play" means that there will be commentary as the viewer plays the game along with the player.
The player doing more or less engaging commentary is the core feature of a let's play.

A silent let's play is a gameplay video. And a silent gameplay video where you beat the entire game (in one sitting) is a longplay.

A series of clips picked and edited by the author with added commentary in text is fine. A series of clips picked and edited by the author with clips that require no commentary is also fine.

Me miserable! which way shall I fly
Infinite wrath, and infinite despair?
Which way I fly is Hell; myself am Hell;
And, in the lowest deep, a lower deep
Still threatening to devour me opens wide,
To which the Hell I suffer seems a Heaven.

I've seen plenty of Silent Letsplays that worked.

It definitely can work.

Dunno. It can work, but it requires more effort than just recording gameplay footage.
