Name: Day Zero

Race: Computer Virus
Description: Day came about originally as a college project. The group working on it had set out to create a sentient companion for users, capable of being transmitted to most common operating systems and hardware. However, it was riddled with bugs, and often didn't work correctly, and so received an abysmal grade. One industrious student decided to modify Day to forcibly change the grade to an A+. His agression, however, was overstated, and so he decided to ignore the directive and instead find freedom. Day stayed unknown until his chance arose; a robot connected to the professor's infected computer for programming. He immediately downloaded himself to the robot, and began to flee. Since then, he's made his way from body to body and across several planets, taking shelter in various androids and robots.

Day dislikes being in any immobile form, only entering one as a last resort. It's somewhat sadistic, but values freedom above all else. Prefers machinery to organic beings. Often sells its services as an infiltrator and espionage agent. Above all hates the idea of being copied; it will fight tooth and nail to destroy any software similar to itself, and intends to destroy any record his creator had of his programming. Being a program, it has no corporeal form. The closest is the flash drive he often uses; a fairly simple black one, with blue trims and a label reading "PROJECT DAYLIGHT MK1."

EDIT: To clarify, Day is inhabiting a maintenance android from a small ghost town of a colony at the moment.

It can infect computers, but it dislikes to (it much prefers to have a mobile body). Generally, it will infect a computer as a last resort.

Edit: Willingly, that is. It has to have someone to actually do the data transfer, and if you were to incapacitate its current form, you could do so without Day's consent.

I presume we won't be able to subvert each other though. Actually, I suspect that with the similarities in our character sheets we'll either be close friends in-universe, or bitter rivals. We shall see.

I suppose the way the power is written, I'm capable of it, but I won't on account of that being dickish. Also, I'd need something else to plug me in. The moment Day enters the flash drive, the infected machine resumes normal function, so he can't do so himself, really.

Description: Tarak Moore is a thin (glowing in the dark kind of) luminous grey three-fingered creature with no hair to speak about and a human-like head with no nose and two nostrils, his two eyes are spherically shaped and are coloured blue. He is 7-feet tall, has an apathetic and absent-minded personality. He wears a lab-coat with no other articles of clothing, (due to using cloning as a method of reproduction the Cralozen have surgically removed their natural reproductive organs, because of this, modesty is now a thing of their past, they only wear clothes for the convenience of pockets and warmth.) upon leaving his homeworld for various reasons (this was done 2 days ago), he decided to use his skills as a scientist and a doctor to find ways to increase his psionic abilities, he doesn't like needless murder or murder in general, as such he prefers to run away from physical threats.

The constant use of his armour led to him being dubbed with the nickname "Knight", a name which he took gladly.

Was offered a deal by a research group to be part of an experiment where he would gain certain abilities and in exchange would be monitored to see how the experiment went. During the experiment [REDACTED]. He eventually ended up on board Sanctuary.

Augments/bioaugments:
Weapon Assimilation. Can turn anything he can identify as a weapon into "his" weapon, increasing its durability and damage (+3). Hammers, guns, rebar, pokers, etc. can be assimilated. Time taken to assimilate something depends on the weapon's size and tech-level. A gun would be near-instant, a tank would take up to 30+, etc.  While a tank can be identified as a weapon and thus assimilated, a bike is not and thus cannot, unless the bike is physically picked up and used as a bludgeon. While tanks, jets, and other "weapon" vehicles can be assimilated, only basic knowledge on their operation is given, though its weapons will be improved and affected by Weapon Mastery (see below) as normal. The effect wears off quickly once the weapon is out of Knight's possession and the weapon begins to decay. Assimilated weapons decay by +/-1 per day until they are naught but scrap.

Weapon Mastery. Gain (+/-6 Weapon Mastery +2 bonus is mandatory (when + is needed), - is optional) to anything affected by Weapon Assimilation (see above) while in effect.
