The answer to both is yes but recruits are just 20§ apiece and for squad size you need OTS and a few ranks.

Nope, the first 25 soldiers are on the house.

Those 25 people will be part of the actual roster and are able to be chosen to take part in missions, operations, transformations, trainings, etc. People who apply after those 25 soldiers (including reapplying after dying) will be put on waitlist until more soldiers are hired, which will draw players from the waitlist.

So you and three more people can take part instantly while the rest will have to wait until more meatbags get hired :v

Ye the collective will of the Commander decides when and how many. But I'm the one who controls what players enter :v

Gunin, you want to shoot the drone from where you are or pull back?  You should have an 82% shot on it from your current position, but you're in trouble if it doesn't die.  The sectoid can't flank you without flanking itself, but the cover there allows just a limited amount of support from your team.  I'd say it's up to you.

(If you stay, I stay, Crazy takes the heavy cover, and Ivan takes K20.  Sectoid can't advance into cover, and then the people who are lost in the back can move around to flank.  Actually, Crazy is in great position to flank next turn, even from that cover spot.)

I hope he kills it, too.  That said, if he's committed to that attack, I'll move up and shoot from that full cover spot if he's not successful.
