I'm curious about Naturearrow myself.
It does look like a diverse group of species in one fort. I'm guessing the goblins invaded at one point, but we''l have to see.

Edit:This site has a very violent past of being robbed by kobolds and being invaded.

I've got a knack at finding spots that look neat, I wonder how the coinage looks in the world, often find interesting stuff on them.

15th of Granite 175
Today, a letter sent to all members of the Coalition of Uncles arrived from Praisedshoves (Onbathru). In it, my dear friend Ur (Cusithmizbo) Embracedwhim, a law-giver of the Sizzling Confederacy since 158, divulged that Lady Desli (Shacespecut) Glaciercrafts is seeking a qualified volunteer from our hamlet of Ravenallied (Tumaabba) for a study of the inhabitants of Naturearrow (Egomfeb). The letter also mentioned that the lady of Praisedshoves wished for this to be a peaceful mission with high priority of diplomatically increasing relations between the Sizzling Confederacy (Anstridpesor) and the Dread of Tactics (Ngebzo Omab).
As a mentally and physically qualified man of thirty years, I, Cikul (Hokpundik) Knifejoke, was chosen to journey to the north-west as an anthropologist and diplomatic ambassador. If this mission with the people of Naturearrow succeeds, Lady Desli will surely offer our ancient and humble (no thanks to Nëlas Brandedgilds the Jade Warmth) hamlet better protection and the goblin civilizations might be less inclined to attack us. In preparation for the journey I will increase my fortitude by climbing, swimming, and hunting for three days prior to my expedition. I shall set out for Naturearrow on the 18th with the steel whip left to me by my unknown father and the clothes on my back.

I like it, and "Lady Desli will surly offer"  should be surely, amusing though the alternative would be.

Thanks for the correction. I should have the start of the journey up tomorrow (doing a lot of power leveling in throwing, wrestling/fighting, and maybe some more climbing).

I trained for several hours around my house and then decided to visit the homes of a few friends. I learned that the Sizzling Confederacy has sent a group to reclaim the ruins of our hamlet after speaking to my friends Kesp (Athoush) Soullivid, a thresher, and Rosmic (Oñecuce) Lutecall, a miller. They told me that my friend Ur Embracedwhim who is on his way and my friend, the pikeman with a name befitting at least two regal and elven women, Rofa (Fathinutefe) Ancientpleated who is currently staying in a cottage with a local farmer by the name of Uso (Rozmogole) Butterslipped. Knowing this, I felt a little better about the safety of Ravenallied in my absence. However, I worry about what this will do to the power of the Coalition of Uncles in this area once Ur arrives. Hopefully, he arrives before I leave for Naturearrow so that I may speak with him and hear one of his great stories of Zotho the Scaly Rawnesses, the wars with the Curious Rain, and legends of old.
I took an evening swim in a nearby river and went to bed with sore muscles.

16th of Granite 175
I swam all day and knapped some limestone outside of my house before I went to sleep.

17th of Granite 175
I felt tougher, stronger, faster, and more energetic than ever before after waking up. I knapped some more limestone and then went out to hunt some wild game in the forest neighboring our hamlet. I strangled one groundhog and knifed another—their meat will make a delicious number of meals and their bones might be handy in the future.  I chatted with some friends, swam a little and went to bed early in anticipation for my journey to Naturearrow tomorrow.

18th of Granite 175
I left during the night towards my destination. The entire journey was frightful due to a bogeyman attack a possibility at any time and the heavy rain which soaked me to the bone. I now know what they mean by “.” I mastered the art of wrestling from an echidna I whipped unconscious—I was going to give the little guys a funerary fire fit for a warrior, but the vegetation beneath him was laden in water from the harsh rain. During the dreadful trek, I heard an eerie metallic ching followed by a low boom several times. I was immediately relieved upon first sight of a daylight. On my way, very close to Naturearrow, there was an immense population of diverse wildlife (one-humped camels, buzzards, wolverines, etc.). The sun was low in the eastern sky when I arrived at a structure made of smooth limestone. However, this turned out to be just a tall, fortified tower (another identical one lay to the north).
Eventually, I decided to climb down the valley. My instincts proved correct when I entered a large stone structure filled with goblin, dwarf, and human merchants selling their wares next to the entrance of the fortress. I first introduced myself to a dwarf named Datan (Bomrekkithìn) Whipcactus, who told me of a hydra which destroyed a forest retreat to the east named Cloudylulled (Ateraciveri) in the spring of 45. After asking him about trade with other groups, he told me, “There's nothing organized here.” Datan told me that he did not know of the name of the civilization which previously occupied Naturearrow, but he did know that the Blameless Post of the Labor of Reverence had founded the site that an unknown civilization had lost it after an insurrection.
I had not realized until I had finished my conversation with Datan that a few goblins had scattered to the corners of the building were fearing that I was going to attack (shown by their excessive tears and sweat). I told them that I wished to cease the hostility and that I was a peaceful diplomat, but the majority of them continued to cower from my presence.
The fort itself lay deep beneath the stony ground. I introduced myself to a dwarf brewer, then, all of a sudden, all hell broke loose and everyone thought I was an assailant. I begged him to yield, but he refused and called me a coward. I accused the dwarf attacking me, who one man cried to be Smunstu (Musstozu) Fullpoisons, of being a night creature. In turn, he responded by saying, “In the midst of conflict… I laugh in the face of death. What is this madness? Calm yourself!” Many others around us, except for another dwarf, were terrified by the brewer and his inaccurate attacks against me. I dodged in such a way that one of the dwarves collided into his wretched ally in arms and passed out. I feared that my presence was creating a race war against humans, or just one human (me). In a fit of desperation and rage, I charged at the brewer and scratched his lower body—bruising his muscle and guts through his small pig tail fiber robe and leaving him knocked on the ground. After knocking one of my assailants unconscious by accidentally punching him in the right foot, I decided to sneak away before anyone got seriously hurt. Above ground, I asked a peasant why I was being assaulted, but he attempted to knife me. I gave him the opportunity to yield after he continued to pester me, but he also refused. I accepted his duel. After a short bit of skirmishing, I knocked the peasant unconscious with a skull-chipping lash.
I decided to hide out in a nearby fortified tower. I was crushed that my dreams of becoming a hearthperson were done and that war would inevitably break out if the people of Naturearrow discovered who sent me. My study has revealed that the predominant language used in Naturearrow is Goblin (with many non-goblins adopting Goblin last names) and that the site seems to be leaderless, disorganized, and disconnected from the outside world. I sat through the day and night pondering what my next move would be: try some form of diplomatic negotiation, leave, or, unspeakably, try to overcome my enemies in this strange and hostile site.

For those who care, stats and attributes on the night of the 18th.

Knifejoke almost getting knifed, I can dig it!

Hmmm, shame that there is nothing organized, I suppose you could check nearby lairs for coins... gotta deal with the stuff in there, but maybe a bit of fame would help keep from being attacked?

Looking for lairs (if any do exist) would be nearly impossible due to the mountainous landscape of and surrounding Naturearrow. For some reason, the goblins panicked at the sight of Cikul and a few others were also afraid of him (for no valid reason that I can see-his weapons were strapped to his back and he approached the market slowly and visibly). I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do (why I left the end bit open-ended). I could try to trade some meat for coins, but I have a feeling that even Datan will try to strike me down (and fail as miserably as the rest) if I speak with him again.

I returned an hour later (my judgment of time was muddled while I nervously sat in the tower) only to find the place in the same situation an hour ago. However, when I approached Datan and pleaded with his that there was no quarrel between us, he put down his weapon. I noticed that Datan had no coins while I was trading with him, so I gave him a piece of groundhog meat and looked for a merchant who did have coins. Before I could start another trade, one cook named Alá (Kunodshasttol) Scoopmob told me indirectly in his greeting that he worshiped a sky deity, I was attacked again. This time, I decided to assert my dominance by accepting the fight (sadly, Datan was one of the attackers). I choked out Datan unsuccessfully, then I asked him again to cease fighting. He obliged due to a lung injury I gave him. Now that Datan was no longer in the fight, I used my right bicep to strangle the other attacker, known as Bir (Amilbengel) Whirlromance, to unconsciousness before he would have died at my hands. He too had not a single coin for me to examine. I was starting to believe that this was town with no law, no currency, and no respect for outsiders.
I yelled over to a dwarf surgeon, as talking next to anyone seemed to get me attacked, and introduced myself. He returned the greeting and told me his name was Limul (Edimïngiz) Raysceiling. I asked him about Naturearrow; he replied by telling me about the violent death of a goblin which happened here in 77. As soon as I asked him how he was feeling, a peasant drew his silver slicing knife with his left hand. I felt that this was the final sign that I was not wanted here, so I decided to report directly to Lady Desli about the situation in Naturearrow.
