I suppose I should play on the US East server. I've been on the West this whole time (and a brief stint in South America because why not?)

I made it to first place this morning as IMA FOOD, but eventually fell apart and got devoured. I've found its just as satisfying to go around injecting mass into players I like, or duplicating the sawblade ball things.

Another tip, this one's a little fuzzier.  Don't piss people off.  Like, if somebody moves in on you, don't be fancy about it, just get away as fast as you can.  The longer you run from a big guy the more likely he is to split for you.

Same goes with avoiding a split.  A lot of times if you dodge a split you'll make them mad and they'll split again.  It's a bad decision but that doesn't save you.

Just ended a pretty good run. Got up to 3rd place in a west coast server, but got nommed by first place about 10 seconds before I reached green spikey safety.

As an addendum, don't try to troll big blobs. I see it so often, and here's how it plays out:

1. They hover just off your surface, keeping pace with you. Generally they suck and you can fool them with a quick change of momentum; if they're smart they're trying to build up instead of mucking about. Except for the guy who changed his name to "I love x", whatever my name was at the time, he was cool and got to be my satellite.

2. They run around in front of you gobbling up the dots. I split for these guys, no exception, unless they've literally just spawned. And it works, I see the same people go out of their way to avoid me afterwards.

Yeah, that tends to fly, the ones I'm talking about are those that deliberately try to waste your time leading you around. I giggle a little whenever they course correct too sharply and inadvertently suicide. :V
