Even the mid-tier people would have to look presentable. As a rule of thumb, nobles don't ever even think about low-hivers and consider mid-hivers little better than cattle. There are also sub-divisions in the mid-hive, so we're in the equivalent of a good hotel for rich merchants and similar personas.

It's time to either get to posting or say it's ok to move on. Cheesecake didn't do so because he thought one of you might want to RP, and the last post in the thread's been mine since the 19th.

Note: I edited my post a bit to provide people with something they can reply to since we need to decide whether we go straight for the nobleman's manse or ask around for a bit. Don't expect me to provide as many posts as usual since I'm at work and suffering from a very bad headache.

Ah, why are you talking about getting screamers Caellath?

Maybe he wants to protect the Land Speeder from getting jacked.

Let's hope we don't need to make a quick get away if we're removing parts from the engine...

Plus, given how finicky anti-grav tech (probably) is, we would want/need one of the techpriests to do it. And that would probably require plenty of rituals and appeals to the machine spirit of the speeder. And we still might mess it up and render the speeder inoperable.

So yeah. Elodie can stay with it for now, and later on we can work on ways to keep the speeder secure.

I don't think a land speeder has worse security than a modern car, so no one can just jump in and ride away. The screamers are just perfectly cheap and practical ways of setting up general perimeters, and having one around your unguarded vehicle so a bomb isn't put on it or similar is quite sensible.

Eizen wasn't expecting logic to get anywhere with the Ecclesiarch, but he tried regardless. He mustered his internal resolve and tried anyway. Maybe she, so unlike most of her brethren, had a small modicum of sense. Stupid Ecclessiarchy. At least Commissars wanted to kill you because you were dangerous, not for vague religious reasons. He felt that if the Emperor didn't want Psykers to exist, then they wouldn't exist anyway. It irritated him greatly that so many would so readily take the Emperor's judgement into their own hands. The hubris was disgusting.
Dohohohohoho
Vague religious reasons? Hating psykers is a fundamental part of the Imperial Creed, because they're a potential portal to the Warp that can explode into demons. It's in the rulebook, so to speak: purge the witch with blessed promethium is a tenant of Imperial faith. Religious persecution has good reasons rather than hurr durr them dumb fundies.

Hating psykers is good sense. There's a reason the Emperor had the Sisters of Silence.

Backpack for now. And vests aren't good for concealing things, just to have them handy and easily acessible.

Really, what I want is a sidebag, which counts as a combat vest.

I don't think they have sidebags in the armory?

They have fannypacks, why wouldn't they?

Messenger bags!
