@Cheesecake: will the Inquisition have supplied us with mid or lower-hive habs so I know whether I can leave some of my junk behind. Also, does the wording in the backpack saying you can carry "extra" 30 kilograms mean those don't count towards the weight limit due to being properly braced/distributed or something?

We may find it sorta smart to acquire a small ship to use. Even if it cant go through the warp on its own, there are probably a few ships going between systems that act as autoracks for ships.

Inquisitor Barbarossa houses you in his voidship along with his other acolytes and retainers. Once you reach planetside you'll have to acquire lodging of some sort, unless you want to just stay in his voidship. Smaller voidships are available for rent or hire should you want to travel between systems without warp-travel.

Oh, and have you read All Guardsman Party? It's 1st edition but it could give you some inspiration. It's crazy crazeh good. It also shows that if we lack certain skills that might be useful for a mission, it isn't too ridiculous for the interrogator/inquisitor we're assigned to to bring in what we need. (Infiltrating an upper-class ball? Hire a face. Bringing down a skyscraper? Hire a Demoman, and so forth.)

Ships are a bit harder to acquire than in Rogue Trader due to our comparatively smaller wealth. And you might be required to make some "upkeep" type Influence tests. Maybe not since Cheesecake said we'll be in our Inquisitor's voidship and that'd make things a lot easier. Still, a guncutter or small shuttle might be a bit harder to acquire (I'd need to check the book for Availability) and there's the whole Subtlety thing, where even if you fail a requisition test you still drop the group's "sneakiness" rating.

Nah, he's busy with Inquisitorial stuff. You barely see him; mostly its couriers/messengers at best, usually its just orders written on a note.

Fixed the link, thanks for catching that. The rulebook says extra 30kg, so I'm sure it allows you to carry more than your carry weight.

Also, is there an app for Android you guys know of that lets you chat in IRC?

From what I can tell from the rulebook, the backpack acts as hammerspace. Everything in it counts as weightless while in it, and takes longer to get it out... Dunno if the bag itself has a weight...
