Apparently, its illegal. grumble. They never sell books like these in Hong Kong, so internet was my only choice. Still, I can answer any questions you might have regarding character creation and game mechanics. Hopefully. I still have to finish reading the rulebook.

You said second edition, right? I am probably a little more helpful there then I would be in the first  .

Basically, for character creation, you roll your stats and choose a career path (things like type of planet you where born on and job), adding those bonuses to your character. It isn't that hard.

I found a character generator. Is it legal to link to that?

Probably, but you should make sure it is second ed first.

I was able to order Rogue Trader online from Fantasy Flight Games, you should be able to do the same, they have international shipping via USPS.  Expensive and whatnot but if you want the actual book.

Also combat in this is deadly and grimdark.  I know rogue trader has a whole table on what happens when you get a critical damage on someones head with an energy weapon.  Let's say scars are your best option.

...But it does look like it is first edition. The world choices don't mach up to the second's, and it doesn't let you choose background/roll. You could at least use it for most of your stats though~.

Yeah, the reused the chart for all their games. Everyone knows Autoguns are the way to go!

Dunno. It depends on if they changed the bonuses between additions, but there are really only two or three planets missing. If they do still work, you would still have what is basically a half-finished character sheet  . Anyway, he stated he won't play for months, meaning you have plenty of time to find one  .

Great news, found a 2nd ed character generator. Bad news is that the talent picker is a WIP. Still, by the time exams are over it might be finished.

I had missed this. Second edition and PbP, meaning it's permissive with my scatter-brained forgetfulness? I suppose I might join in. Would we be rolling for stats or using Point-Buy? I have a legal PDF copy of 2nd Edition and posting some copy-pasted chargen material to help fellow players (if you use the automatic chargen page I can help you with Talents) if I find enough time to do so doesn't go against any copyright rules.
