Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

How complex is the game?

All fanfics are heresy, each and every one, especially the shipping ones. Those are by far the worst.

How complex is the game?

If you've ever played tabletop rpgs like Dungeons and Dragons, basically that. Instead on focusing on dungeon combat Dark Heresy is more investigative (but still a lot of combat).

I can totally help!

I almost got to play a DanD game but to no avail.

If Cheesecake can help me roll a character (which I did do) then i'll be fine.

EDIT: Looks like we can 3 (4 if Andres comes in).

That would be piracy, which we all know is ILLEGAL. (So torrent it yourself if you don't care. Google is your seedy semi-criminal friend!)

Basically, it is a normal RPG. To do things you roll a 100 sided die and compare it to one of your stats with bonuses. If you roll below your stat, you succeed! For combat, you have things called "Wounds" which are basically hitpoints. Armor takes away from the damage that is done to you. Weapons deal multiples of d10. I think that is really all you really need to know to start playing  :-\.

I meant if maybe they'd done something like Wizards of the Coast did with 5e Dnd, and released a "basic" rules pdf for free. In hindsight, it's Games Workshop, so they're not likely to do that. I'd like help with character creation though.

So how does Dark heresy work? I'm familiar with Horus's heresy, is it the same thing (story wise)?

Not at all. I am more familiar with RT, but know a *little* bit about it. Basically, you are Inquisitors investigating cults and stuff in the modern 40K universe. This usually involves fighting/getting killed by deamons. And Heretics, thus the name.

Again, I am more familiar with RT. Basically, you roll some dice to get your stats, then choose a career path, adding or subtracting to your stats as necessary. You can probably find just a character creation somewhere, Dark Heresy is pretty popular and has several fansites full of information about it.

Basically you are Acolytes working for an Inquisitor. Basically apprentices/mercenaries.

Interested, if someone can post the rules or a link to a pdf or something.

Apparently, its illegal. grumble. They never sell books like these in Hong Kong, so internet was my only choice. Still, I can answer any questions you might have regarding character creation and game mechanics. Hopefully. I still have to finish reading the rulebook.

4shared prolly has the pdf. That's where I got it. Your local gamestore might have it too (which are nonexistant where I live)

I found a character generator. Is it legal to link to that?
