Sorry, I've been trying to get into IRC, but internet kinda hates me today :( I'll try getting on more tomorrow, if my Machine Spirit lets me.

I'll wait until Sirus decides whether he wants to re-roll that check. Doesn't anyone seeing things from above get something as well, maybe Awareness ones?

If Sirus doesn't reroll, you guys can roll Scrutiny with others Assisting to find his secret passageway. If not, you could ask Strenwell directions to the cantina's public entrance.

@Cheese: Re-rolling doesn't re-roll the opponent's roll as well. And it seems you keep popping up on IRC whenever I'm not around.

Oh? Didn't know that, thanks for telling me :)

...I know we're supposed to be discreet, but I almost want to just flatly tell this guy that we're with the Inquisition just to see him lose that composure.

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

He probably wouldn't believe it, at least initially. Also, worth noting is that it's us who decided on trying to be discrete. Our boss Inquisitor gives us autonomy as long as we get results.

Did we get any sort of Inquisitorial emblem to prove who we are? I know that actual Inquisitors tend to carry around badges of office.

We're not trusted enough to carry an Inquisitorial rosette. I don't think we'd be applauded for revealing we're working for the Inquisition. Quite the opposite, one could say.

He would probably believe it because nearly no one is crazy enough to impersonate acolytes or an Inquisitor; when someone says they're working for the Ordos, it's usually better to err on the side of caution and answer questions than say "I doubt it" and end up tortured. The average imperial citizen will comply and the average thug might do either that or try their luck at running away. The Inquisition itself is a bit of a boogeyman and though most people in the Imperium will never meet one of their agents, they can take strange rumors as the truth.

Inquisitors usually prefer if their acolytes don't have to resort to tossing the Inquisition's name around. It's also better for our investigations since we don't want people knowing who we are as soon as we appear. We aren't throne agents so we don't have badges of office and we are far from being trusted enough to be given our Inquisitor's rosette.

No worries, though you might need to burn more holy machine incense. I also edited my last post so we can get the guy's mask off and get things going sooner.

You had asked me about the experience thing and I forgot to mention then but: in these times of OW/2nd Ed., most GMs give around 200-300xp per the equivalent of a session, as loose a concept that might be during a PbP game. Half a leg of an investigation? A full leg? I guess it depends on the scenario and the GM's analysis.

I think I'll give out xp when an encounter is solved, combat or otherwise. The amount I'll vary according to the difficulty and how you guys dealt with it.

By the way, who's Keyleth? XD
