((Woo, not dead yet. And I think I only lost one squad member so far...crap, I think I taunted the RNG. Oh well, too late to change it now. Anywho, I can assume I noticed the tempest thing right? How close am I to it? Also, are the arms restrained again? If not, is a roll required every turn to maintain control?))

((You've lost no one. Two got damaged, but they're still alive and able to fight.

Yes, you can definite notice the tempest. Everyone on the entire Third Floor would notice it one way or another, due to the storms being rather, uncommon, in an underground colony. You are approximately 2 kilometers from the edge of the storm right now. The facility is in front of you and kilometers to its side is the storm's edge.

Arms still unrestrained. Yes.))

((The map is more of a GM-aid at the moment since all the data is represented as text that is accessed by a java program. Turning it into an actual symbol/color coded image may take a while due to Corsair being traumatized from working with graphics when trying to code games in java :P

A condensed faction info dump can definitely be made. I'll try and get one done before the game goes on that hiatus.))

((Forgot the colony was underground. A storm would be anomalous. Totally gonna check it out after rescuing folks.))

"Roger, I'm back. Looks like the curse is real, which I assume you were aware of. Fan-fucking-tastic. How the hell did Dead Hand make this, magic? Anyway, I'm going to restrain the arms. Also, it seems there's a storm up here. Any idea what caused it?" Beirus reports to command.

"Jus, you have any information on the construction of the Pharoah? How it was made or why it's cursed? Seems like magic to me, but I've never actually seen or heard of any real magic before. Also, you know anything about that anomalous storm?" Beirus asks Jus as he goes through the arm restraint procedures.

He heads into the main area of the facility. If he runs into any System League infantry, he offers them a chance to surrender. "This is Pilot Beirus O'Greenahan of the NEE. Cease all hostile actions and surrender, or I will use this autocannon to blow you into so many tiny pieces that they'll use a pill capsule as the coffin at your funeral. If you surrender, you will not be harmed. Also, the wonderful weather that just sprang up might warrant a bit of consideration in the time you take deciding whether or not you really want to refuse to surrender."

Restrain the arms. Check if the two pilots with damaged frames want to continue the mission. If not, send them back to HQ. Head into the facility with my squad and offer any System League infantry we meet the chance to surrender. If they attack, fire on them with the autocannon.

For my "handler" can I instead have a bonus for shooting?
((Nope.))

((Why not? How does this work then?))

((Also handlers give the universal "reaction time" ability meaning they get the action hero physics rather than ordinary bloke physics allowing them to do things like waltz through gunfire and deflect bullets[possibly with other bullets]. I could give you a bonus to your UTAR skill instead but that would prevent you from gaining access to the grimoire and the handler abilities which are added to as you gain levels. Also the handlers don't specialise in a bonus to X attack type instead giving unique abilities that are really damn hard/impossible to do with magic or are useful for example the "scan" abilities of red queen, jus ad bellum & shrodinbug, all provide information beyond the knowledge that you have, that you can use to make attacks more effective by using the information to hit the enemy weakpoint.))
