((I dunno man, I was stuck in the painting room for a week. There was plenty of time to help out...

Also, btw, there's very little reason to bank your money. You're going to need to spend 3-4 RP to get the supplies for the next expedition. After that, I suggest buying a backpack. :P

I would have also suggested Lily barter our Khat wood up to a higher price, but she's been away from the forums for the last three days...))

((OOC: I had no major problems with it. I got a staff from all this. Hurrah.

The puzzles and things seemed fair. All my gripes center on myself and the lack of teamwork, but that's not on your end. We could have done much better, tho...I do appreciate the XP bonus, very much. We should get something for all that. Edit: Unless you meant EFFORT points, then...uh, thanks, I guess...

For a thinking game, this one hits all the marks. Rules light and easy to understand, and generally merciless. The only complaint I could really offer is a lack of documentation-costs and items and such. But that's not really needed when all your players have 1 RP to spend, lol.

You'll also have to explain to me how I could have gotten the treasure out of the pillar after all...))

Action: From the stash, take a comfortable length of Khat wood to serve as my new staff.

Yes EP = Effort points not exp. Exp is only obtained from using your skills.

I do plan on updating the item list with something a little more robust. But until then (and afterwards), you guys can just ask me if so-and-so is in the market and I'll tell you if it is and how much it costs.

As for the treasure in the pillar, I'm afraid I can't tell you. Some other party may attempt to grab that stash in the future (or even yourselves, if you figure it out) so it will be kept unsolved for now (as will be all puzzles that weren't solved). Let it be incentive to go back to old tombs.

Also, what type of puzzles do guys enjoy? I'm planning on ramping up the difficulty and creating more elaborate, multi-dimensional puzzles. Expect more riddles.

Backpack is 2 RP, deduct it accordingly. It replaces Satchel (if you have one) and takes up 2 torso slots (actually I don't think you can wear one unless you remove your armor, which also takes up 2 RP). The backpack can hold 5 slots, with an additional +1 with an attached side-pocket (costs 1 RP)

((I like puzzles and dungeons with context as to why they exist. In this case, there was no context-it was truly a random dungeon, with no/very little reason for even being there, the reason being some sort of magical...explosion...thing. I wish we had been given a stronger incentive for going there, to have more a stake in victory.))

In terms of post frequency, my point was more that when you respond to a single character's action within 5 minutes of them posting it, it can be hard for the rest of us to get involved.

This is true. But on the otherhand the "victory" is to just get out the tomb in one piece and with an armful of loot. Later (with character development) the party might have personal stake in the Raid, but otherwise its just a living.

Yeah, lol, I'll try to give everyone some more breathing room next round.

((Speaking of that, Arvin is taking his share and leaving this group. :P

I should have 9 Rp, right. Started with 1, Refunded Spellbook for 1, earned 7.))

Arvin tapped his staff on the ground of the tavern, running the math in his head. They had made a profit on the run, which was alot better than the death most people earned. Whenever he felt the urge to resent his share, he reflected that Lily had weighed her own gains against the loss of a leg...

Still, the group had not worked well together. He didn't want to work with them again. Next time it might be his leg. Or his life. Too much risk. Too little reward. Mistakes had been made...he wasn't exactly sure which, if any of them, he would be working with again. He supposed they would have to ask him about it. After he had taken his share of the loot, he had left them without a word.

He began writing letters that very night-he had time enough between drinking, eating and, wenching to think of people he knew, his old friends and casual companions...many of them like him, just looking for a break...he would leave a Silver Imperial in each envelope, a weeks pay-what better than success to draw their interest? He could make a better group, he thought. He would do better next time...

All wizards need a pointy hat. Else how would someone know you're a wizard?

((Yeah, the GM is very obscure on our equipment, or he hasn't written anything on it yet and is stalling like a madman. I did use the hat, like I used my previously useless staff-to prod and throw it into things to check for danger...like Gandalf! Sort of.

I think it should technically be listed a 0/0 item. In fact, the GM should probably let us get basic 0/0 clothes items for 'free'-it's not like he can charge us for them. And it'd be nice to know we're actually wearing shoes.))

Adventurers: actually just naked dudes running around old tombs. It's why people are so keen for them to go back on adventure rather than stay around town.

Clothes are free technically and do not take up any slots (in fact, they're the things that provide the slots in the first place). The pointy hat is a just a pointy hat, you can store something in it (it acts a 1 slot container), but its just flavor. You do have shoes, lol, namely boots, where you can store an additional 1 slot.  This game is not about min-maxing, so I've hesitated to put detailed equipment lists and the like. If its something you guys really want, I'll update the list (I've been planning to for a while, but been busy in RL with finals).

And yes only one spell/ritual/prayer per specialization. You can get more spells in the same way you upgrade skills. The spells are very powerful, not only because of their effect, but because their usage implies to other's that you are a wizard/shaman/priest. That has its own power.

There are no small spells, only small imaginations.
