Spoiler: Lilly the Survivor (click to show/hide)
And this is the character I'm throwing to the meat grinder. Lilly survived a bandit raid on her village and ran into the wildness at the young age of ten. The next time she met another human would be 12 years later so her thought process seem alien to a normal human, thus the the low Reasoning. That said, her skills and lack of knowledge about the laws(other then the law of the jungle) made her a surprise hit with the underworld and thus has a Criminal skill.

You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

We've got a thief and a mage. Fighter incoming.

Spoiler: Astra the Fighter (click to show/hide)

I'm just going to take the preset, because it's pretty much what I'd end up making anyway.

Bio will be added later, I have to go offline in a few minutes.

Looks good guys/gals

@Scapheap, you want iron as leather doesn't protect. Leather Torso Armor is the exception, it will provide +1 Resistance at 1 slot and costs only 1 RP (as opposed to iron armor which is +2 for 1 slot and costs 2 RP). Everything else leather doesn't take up any slots or provide any resistance (greaves, gloves, etc.). If you want to keep the iron, your character is perfect as it is. If you want leather armor (on the torso) give yourself an extra resource point. Also, you can't wear a backpack on your torso, you don't have enough slots. Backpack takes up 2 slots and gives you an additional 6. Quiver with arrows takes up 1 and Iron armor takes up 1. You'll have to switch the Backpack with a satchel (which takes up 1 slot and gives you 3) or just move the quiver to your belt (in which case it takes up the "weapon" slot of the belt).

Also the front page is updated with the new members. I assume you all will make one party so I've taken the liberty of assigning you all to a party to start with ("Party A" for now, but you can change the name).

You can choose to venture forth now, or wait for another party member (Pencil_Art or Fallacyofurist).

Alright, so all of you guys are currently in the town. You may use your remaining resources to do things around town (if you have any left). You will have to use at least 1 RP to take a job from the Guild, 2 if you want a private job (hear rumor, then follow up). You can go negative resources but be warned that burly men with short tempers will be looking for you the next time you come in to town.

If there is any questions, feel to ask.

Should be no problem, since the party is still in town. I've added you to the list (barring any objection from the other members). Your character looks good as well.

I'll find work for the group.

I'll assume you are going to the Guild for work instead of a private enterprise.

The "Guild" is little more than a small corner office in the town hall, run by man named Za'sa al-Ha. Za'sa is a menial bureaucrat who runs the seldom-legal business of uniting people who need things with people who can get them. His official work is tedious, unnecessary and low-paying, yet rumors are that he's recently purchased a villa in the countryside. His second one. So the Guild business gets him by.

When you walk into Za'sa office, you can barely find him behind the stacks of paper and scrolls which litter his desk. Za'sa is leaning on his chair, his eyes closed, smoking his pipe in bliss. His head narrows to a point in front of his face, so that he looks like something between a hawk and a weasel. Every pore of his body seems to be hard at work secreting oil, so that he is perpetually shiny and suspicious.

He notices your presence and offers you a seat. You sit down. He looks you up and down and leans in and asks "I assume you're here because of the recent increase in the wheat tax?" This is a code and you know the right answer. You reply "No. I hate wheat and I love taxes." He leans back and nods. "I might have something for you" he says. Then he pulls out a small notebook from the folds of his coat, tongues his thumb and begins flipping through the pages. Occasionally he looks up, as if to measure you, then mutters beneath his breath and shakes his head. Finally he stops, looks at you and nods.

"Yes I have something that's about right...of course, there is the matter of the finder's fee..." he smiles, waiting for you.

You need to expend 1 RP to hear the job

Za'sa pockets the bag of coins, smiles, rummages through his desk and pulls out a faded scroll. He unfurls it to reveal a map, of what seems to be a tomb (surprise, surprise).

"This a map of the tomb of Lord Fa Ho-Luo, a minor noble, as far as nobles go. I received it from an interested party that wishes a certain artifact, believed to be buried with him, to be "retrieved". A comb, I think it was-" He leafs through his notebook. "-Yup, a comb...leave it to the nobles...anyway, the details are unimportant. What you need to know is that the tomb is in the Valley of the Dead-" Za'sa stops, gauging your reaction. Valley of the Dead, the name brings a faint sourness to your mouth-the taste of magic- and you've definitely heard it before... "-And this map was given with signed permission, from an ancestor of Lady Chao-mo, who was Fa Ho-Luo's mother, to descrecra-*ahem*-explore-the tomb." Za'sa flips the map over and shows a faded calligraphic signature. He rolls up the scroll before you get a chance to look at the map or the signature, and hands it to you.

"My client only wants the comb; in return, you may take whatever else you find in the tomb with full permission." You take the scroll. Valley of the Dead! Of course, you've heard of it! Everyone has. The site of the duel between Abolar the Water Bearer and Seneope the Starter, a duel so concentrated in magic that it permanently scarred reality. Za'sa pushes you out of his office before you can get out another word. Then he locks his door.

Here's what you already know about the Valley of the Dead (free information because of high Scholar):
0. It was created by a duel between Abolar, the God of Fishermen, and Seneope, the First User [of Magic] (they were annihilated by the ensuing reality whiplash)
1. Over 1000 generations of Nobles, Kings, Queens, Concubines, Merchants, Warriors, Scholars etc. are buried there. It is the largest cemetery in the world.
2. There is only one entrance: a staircase that leads directly down into the depths
3. For every person buried (i.e thrown down the staircase along with all their possessions) a personalized tomb is created by the distorted reality and the body is stored appropriately
4. A map is then "revealed" to a "Seeing-Cartographer" through a dream, who then writes the map down and sells it to the ancestor of the tomb (i.e highest bidder)
5. Without this map, the Valley is an endless, ever-shifting, random sequence of rooms; a collection of chaos
6. With the map, the Valley changes itself to match the contents of the map (more-or-less; the Valley is fickle)
7. Anyone that steals from a tomb (even with a map) without permission from an ancestor, is cursed (or so its believed)
8. Anything can happen in the Valley; magic is so concentrated there that reality is less strict (+1 to max RT)

In any case, you have the map and you have a job:
"Retrieve" the comb  of Lord Fa Ho-Luo (and whatever else you can find) from the Valley of the Dead

"Agreed, it's straightforward enough. It might be worth looking around for any descendants of this Lord Fa Ho-Luo; might be able to trick them into giving us permission..."
