I read book one of the Saga of Seven Suns a few days back. Also Dune. Dune. It's a masterpiece. I'd recommend the entire Dune series.

FoU has some twisted role ideas. Screw second-guessing this mechanical garbage spaghetti, I'm basing everything on reads and visible daytime behaviour.

Would you like to play a game of Mafia? The subforum is always open to new players.

I realy liked The quiet war and the book(s) that followed afterwards. There is not much action (although some) but more political stuff and a bit of Techporn.

There was this one... where everything was determined by playing an RPG. I forget what i was called, but i'd liked it a lot as a kid.
Would it be Conor Kosticks' four letter trilogy? (EPIC/SAGA/EDDA)
Though its more fantasy rpg than sci-fi.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

They're webcomics, not books, but Scenes From A Multiverse and  Bob the Angry Flower are interesting sci-fi if you want something light

Using O.S. Card's Quote (I think): Science fiction is just fantasy with gears.

Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive series. Still tossing dice on it being fantasy or scifi (like Simmons ilium and olympus books). Regardless, it is fantastic, a must read.

Confluence by Paul McAuley, I'm in love with this book. Probably because Caves of Qud has me in the mood for retro futurist post apocalyptic settings. But dang, love it.

yes, that was the one! thank you. I only read EPIC, because at the time I wasn't into cyberpunk.
