Guard 1 attacks: (?)(?) only one swing connects, the blade lands in the thief's neck. blood starts pouring out of the neck.the thief dies.

Thief 1 tries to make an escape. but one of the guards standing to the right of the gate grabs the thief as he run by and hits him... killing them.

As for these two, I was looking for them. The captain of the guard wanted them alive for them to have them be locked up and questioned on the charge of child abductions. Since YOU TWO slew them, I will have to check something on them for proof of their involvement now, instead of having them confess to the crime. I hope you can bring the bodies to the jails, if you're done butchering people.

Search the bodies for notes, identification, papers, maps, etc. specifically the child abduction note if they have one too. Keep any notes and keep them on hand for the captain of the guard to see. If I see the captain, tell him about the guards murdering people for petty theft.

One problem of being disconnected to the world is what is the norm out there might not be the same here. I will point out to you what you clearly haven't figured out. We had evidence and conformation from Noble north that He was missing some gems. and the funny thing is, I have a brother who hears many thing about the thieves guild near him. and he has told me about a red tiefling that the Shadow thieves hire to kill other thieves. That wouldn't be you now would it? Because if it was, then If we are putting in jail people just because they are associated with a thieves guild, then you would also be in jail. But You haven't done any crimes since you go here so why should we put you in jail. We are taking the bodies back to the guard house anything important to you claim shall make it way to the Captain no worries."
