"How is it that with a gate blocked off and your soldiers without casualties that you managed to get ten of them to get inside the square?
And if I may be so bold, what is the patron of the seer that foresaw this event?"
"All good questions" says Burtan.
"First, We knew of the attack before hand but We have some one in the city that can see the future. To what deity that person gains this ability from is unknown but the person has learned that some things can't be altered, because in the effort to prevent something, those action are usually what causes the vision to be turn. We learned of the attack and the doors will open will somehow, so we positioned our guard to make sure they had only access to the main street where we could fight them off and have out scouts sneak in behind them and pelt them with arrows. We knew that some would make it all the way here and we didn't have enough men to properly fortify every where and be here. We were also told a bunch of people would come this day, or already be here and would end up in the square. As you see, knowing this we made sure of it which can account for the face you are here. None of my men go hurt because we planed ahead." He explained.
"But to what opened the door, is a mystery" He finished.
"Why do you ignore me?" question the hooded girl.
"Because you aren't important right now" He retorted.
"Any more question?" He asked.
