Possible name for the city: Tuatihecl.
I've no ideas for anything else.

Tanoa, ((we're we are now)) is fairly small, it encompasses the holy city, and some small villages, along with the amphrites nest. For comparison, it is about the size of 5 independent city-states.

It's symbol is a child holding a sword in one hand, and a shield in the other.

The sword is war and battle, the shield is protection, the child is peace.

Other interesting notes-

It lacks a glass ceiling.
The pepole of tanoa place learning in high regard. Libraries are common in the holy city, but the great library dwarfs them all.

I think it would be really cool if the entire south of the continent/region would be a gigantic waterfall, Like this one

You decide to take a break from mapping out Tualihecl and vist the Amphiteres Warrens, the home of legless feathered serpents with a kind nature... but are fierce if provoked. You befriend one named Haruacatel, who takes you to the massive falls some 40 twebays* distant. It's unfortunate that you can't speak Amphiteran, else you might have a name to match this amazing sight.

*Twebay: is equivalent to one Kilometre, Mile, which ever you prefer- I created it from the first three letters in both words with the name of this forum, Bay Twelve, and put them in reverse order.

You are an amazing artist.

Halfway down the waterfall, on its own jutting out island, is a small temple and a large statue to Kaluaqua, the God of Rivers.

((Was sick for the past six days, I hope this was worth the wait!))

More Suggestions, I thirst for the blood of your imagination! Bwahahaha!

You visit the temple at the Falls and pay your respects to Kaluaqua, the River God, and listen to news that come from the river border to the Northeast of the Creation Temple.

Gonna be honest, that looks amazing. Hell yes it was worth it.
Near the amphitheres warren, slightly to the north in fact, is a Cave of No Return, as it is jokingly referred to. Plenty of people have actually returned from it, and it seems to be filled with various treasures.

Wow, that looks amazing!

North east of the temple of life, next to the river, is a temple dedicated to Guaxa, the goddess of fertility. It is surrounded by the small village of Tulum, which in turn is surrounded by farmland.

To the left west of the temple and north of the waterfall, there lies a great desert.

Right where the big River meets the waterfall, there is a large man made bridge crossing the river.

Directly north of the center temple, on the right side of the river's bend, there is a thick dark jungle where huge purple flowers bloom. No one dares enter there as feathered golden snakes eat any human that enters the forest!
