Well, he's two years old and he has a happy thought about talking to his kin,so either the booze is working its magic, or... well it's more likely the booze in that case

Dwarves are capable of walking and talking at the age of 1.

They are not capable of having their own children at that age, though, so "I talked to my child." doesn't make sense.

Doesnt say that. "Talked to a child" doesnt mean his child. Means he talked to A child. Odd that a kid would care about talking to another kid though.
