Okay, what ended up grabbing my interest is a Ranger this time around, so I gotta ask: Mind not being a miser with ammo? I get that it needs to be that way for BOOLETS, but why not do a flat 50%-round-down recovery rate for arrows/bolts?

Ker Packbrother, Human Ranger

I used the human variant from the PHB.

This looks pretty darn interesting, but I'm not sure if I can handle the sandbox style. PTW, though, for later. Who knows, I may change my mind...

So do I get my holy symbol for free or will I have to buy it on character creation?

You can take one for free. Material depends on your deity, of course.

Dwarmin, are all races available or is it limited to Dwarf, Human, Elf, Halfling? It seems that they are but I'm just checking to see if I'm missing something (though the character I make will probably be Human anyway.)

Ohhh, okay, nevermind. I figured things out.

All official races + the homebrew ones in the op, I assume.

I'm so in.
Dwarmin, could we use the other supplements that WOTC published? Like the Eberron one?

If it's an official supplement that I can post here, you can use it. I'm still looking for all of them!

That Warforged is probably more balanced then mine...

Awright, arrows and bolts get fifty percent recovery. No direct action required (moving at the speed of plot), but it has to be physically possible. I.e, you can't get them the hide of Hydralisk if you're running away from it.

Rounded up too, because a clever ranger always has one more arrow. :P

Hmm, it's sad that we don't have access to feats. A few of them would be very neat for this.

I mean, Dwarmin seems willing to use stuff from the Player's Handbook, but I'd rather not do anything that gives myself an unfair advantage. Or are we just assuming everything's fair game?

Well, not having access to feats isn't that much of a game breaker-you can still choose to boost your stats, instead-it's just as good in many cases, if not better. So I don't consider if too bad a deal. If you bought/obtained the book, you deserve to use that stuff, imo.

Lawl, 'obtained.'
I've got a legit and a probably less-than-legit (PDF) copy of it.

Not so much the combat feats, but there are certain more flavorsome ones for things like dungeon delving and leading. Well, I'll see if there's anything in the HB that strikes my fancy and try to stick to the Basic Rules where I can.

Excellent, best DM. <3

Also holy balls but it hurts losing the favored enemy bonus damage. That said, the class as a whole is a lot more coherent than it used to be.

The PHB human variant changes from +1 to each ability score to +1 to two abilities of your choice, +1 skill proficiency, and a feat. It's a nice way to swap one sort of strength for another. You can also take feats in place of ability score ups, and a lot of the minor feats also give a +1 to a relevant ability score. And:

I don't have the other books myself, though if you do I'll allow you to use them-using the honor code that you're following the rules as written.

Isn't it going to be like the last campaign, where it's okay as long as we include the relevant stats/changes in our sheets?

I know what the Variant does. In fact, I vastly prefer it to the regular one, to be honest (+1 to all stats). My current IRL DnD character is a Human Paladin abusing Polearm Master and Sentinel.

Righty-O, no constraints then. Since I love The Witcher, I'm going to try and make a Monster hunter since it seems like it might fit this setting.
