Players would have to make their own "towers" and defenses, from scratch. Creeps would be sent in by spectators. There could even be "third party" neutral creeps if they wanted them to be independant.

What if cards, along with being obtained in the Draw phase, could be bought at a price of 100 Creep money (Or whatever it would be called) For a random card, and higher prices for specific ones?

Also, I love that idea.

A store in the arena for the players, as they killed creeps they would obtain a currency used in purchasing additional cards.

Hmm, why would you buy a minion (as a spectator) if it will just give the enemy money?

Edit: I suppose if there was going to be a constant flow of them anyway, then they'd still want to make "custom" ones.

Edit2: Maybe I could make them drop cards directly. And the audience has a cheaper way to give cards to players.

Edit3: Ok, maybe players can buy cards for your team's shop. For a lot more they could buy a creep to fight for you. If a player kills a creep they get a random card, but can trade cards at the team shop for a certain exchange rate.

Final Edit: We'll save these things for when we are ready. For now there is still plenty to explore, I havent even revealed exactly what the stars do or how to use them.

As speculation, Maybe Spectators would have "Tickets" Which can be traded in for creep waves (around 5 of them) of a certain type. Red ones attack, Yellow ones Repair or build Structures such as towers and shops, And blue ones Respond to things like players being attacked. These creeps would drop their respective card, once all of them die, and Creep money when one dies. if nobody trades in their Tickets, Weak creeps spawn as placeholders, dropping a random card, and Creep Money.

Ok, Maybe a card type Called "Wildcard" which can be traded for another type at Specific areas, and can be used to substitute a card, but with a 50% chance of being a different one and altering the creation? This would serve the purpose of a new card type, and something for Creep waves to drop all in one. Towers would require three cards, of any color (Requiring a yellow), and drop 2 Wildcards upon death as well.

So the idea would be:

Default creeps spawn in designated areas and proceed to help their team by being cannon fodder, While spectators could trade in tickets to enhance and change their favorite teams creeps.

Towers would be made with one yellow card, and 2 other cards by players.

A Wildcard or colored card (if it was enhanced) would be dropped by a creep wave, and 2 wildcards would be dropped by a tower.

Wildcards can be traded at specific structures, or used to substitute any color of card, but with a 1/2 chance to be the wrong color card, changing the creation.

I think I may like to have a more adventure like format.

Traditional MOBA:
defend base, kill enemy base, creep army on both team keeps coming, heroes on each team

Adventure MOBA:
team to collect 4 artifacts win. No base. Creeps only spawn when audience throws them in. When a hero dies or surrenders they drop an artifact. There is a 'boss' roaming the stage that has one. There is a puzzle in the stage that has one too.

Edit: Maybe a "base" with an artifact too.

In that case, The tickets and wildcards could still be feasible, The only difference is that Creeps don't spawn without Tickets being used, and They would always drop wildcards.
