Not quite.  I'll narrow down the search for you:  it's a word.  A special word, one that's slightly obscure, but most strategy gamers should know it.  Not that they're the only ones, mind you.  It's not a game-related word.

Alright, this is moving along like armored molasses...

The answer to the riddle I posted is the word "queue".  Cut off the "head" and it becomes "ueue", or "ewe".  A gentle lamb.  Cut off the "tail" and it becomes "q", which sounds just the same as the full word.  "I remain as I am".

C'mon now, it's only my fourth riddle.  I had just answered a word puzzle where the answer was "queue", and I felt inspired...

Sorry.  LSTAR's riddle still hasn't (to my knowledge) been answered.  At least he hasn't confirmed anything.
