Fixed.

Edit:  For future games, I think I'll make spheres dependent upon two Elements rather than one, as it does unbalance things regarding Plantlife.  For now, things continue as they are.

I'd recommend lowering plant's fauna creation bonus then, maybe to 4.5 multiplier instead of 4 multiplier, because the multiplier is pretty powerful.

Actually, I'd recommend an alternative, raising the other spheres' element requirements. Animals could also require water, skylife could also require water/sun, fire could also require air (fire can't burn without air), fungi would also require air, crystals would also require water/fire. And bump up the cost of the Abyss to 150-200 ish.

Huh. Looks like I have no chance currently :(. Still deciding on actions.

Action 1: Spread Verna to Roiling Vortex: - 25 Mana (Compete with Unmakers). Bid 1 Mana. Legal, right?

39 + 33 + 24 = 96.  You need to spend 4 more mana to kill the sun.  Granted, Tyrol, you do have 4 more mana to spend.

And yes, spreading the Verna is a) legal and b) would effectively reduce the Unmaker population to one if and when all plantlife is extinguished.  The only way you can avoid that is by owing the Improver heavily, as he has enough clout to save the sun.

This seems unfair imo. Rather than wasting mana on bidding Criptfiend is opting to wipe out the plants altogether. Having his unmakers outcompeted while he's destroying the sun seems rather silly.

Yeah. That doesn't make sense. A extinction event is suppose to be instant, according to the OP. Whereas, as we've already seen, a competition is not.

Also I'm just going to say it. Pencel art, can you seriously stop editing your turns or posts to add turns? Just double post if it's a turn related matter. We had to change the rules to specifically stop you from doing this, and you just keep doing it anyway. It makes it hard to tell if you're cheating or not. I mean, not that I think you are. But it's impossible to tell unless one reads the thread 24/7

I doubt it actually matters at this point. But it's something that's been bugging me for a bit.

Here's the thing Iituem, a hypothetical scenario:

Jester has 110 Mana instead.

World Tree spreads Verna onto Unmakers beginning the competition process.

Jester destroys the sun, causing the extinction of all plants.

In this scenario the Unmakers would not have been outcompeted right? If I'm understanding you correctly Iituem?

The only difference is he didn't keep any mana in reserve this time.

I find it flawed that if he doesn't keep mana in reserve the scenario changes so that he loses the Unmakers, especially so considering the fact that the competing started after we started destroying the sun.

Hrm.  Alright, you make a valid point.  Order of events counts, and that event was called first - I'll count that the extinction event must be opposed or pass before further actions can be called that would conflict with that.

I'm going to call that competition illegal, resulting in a refund of all mana spent and restoration of fauna.  Pencil, you get your action back as well.  Mana for causing the extinction event has been deducted.  All down to the Improver as to whether the sun dies.

"My apologies chap, but if your creations can't survive without that glowing gaseous orb, I certainly can't say they're worthy of survival. Now if you excuse me, I have an apocalypse to watch."

1.10 Mana. Spread Firegourds to Hateful Eruption.
