Feeling your eyes watering, you blink, realizing you seem to forget to do that during these visions. But on opening your eyes again, you see your perspective has changed. It seems to be inside some kind of metal space, with huge metal things on springs above, and facing a tall, vertical slit that seems to look out onto... the hallway wall?

Try to see something besides the wall through the slit?

You can't seem to move your POV, but you can hear the TV from here. And the sound of the rain from the window. You think this must be very nearby where you actually are.

You blink again. You see the police officers both looking through the stack of DVDs.

Officer Phil goes to adjust the coffee pot, but drops it on the floor, prompting a flurry of curses from both cops.

You remove the pendant. Taking the fork from your now probably edible chilli, you walk over to the door and stick your hand through the bars, holding the fork before the lock. Then you slip the pendant back on: sure enough, you can see your hand and the fork, huge, covering the giant vertical slit. It's a bit tricky, but the prongs of the fork stick in through the keyhole, and being able to see the pins, it only takes you about a minute or so of poking around before you hear a loud click! (probably made loud by this POV), and feel the door swing open a little.

You blink, shifting the POV back to the kitchen. Officer Phil is on his knees, gathering the shards of the coffee pot and cursing loudly. Officer Mitch is looking for "those damned paper towels." Without sight, you push open the cell door before you, which makes no noise audible from the kitchen.
