6/10

Not bad, but nothing spectacular.

Now, here's a real pirate song!

The Good Ship Venus
WARNING:  Exceptionally foul lyrics.

5/5! Bahahaha! That's not just hilarious because it's foul, it's hilarious because it's extremely well done. And also foul.

The song I was going to submit is missing, so ah... consider this a null post! I wouldn't of made it but The Good Ship Venus deserves commenting on!

A 6/10 for the instrumentation, but I can't decide whether or not I like the guy's voice.

Over The Hills and Far Away, huh? I heard the version by Nightwish, once. I much prefer Thyrfing's vocals- never liked Nightwish's singer. Really nice! 5/5.

Here's the song I couldn't find earlier- I had to make a video of it myself. The quality of the still-image isn't fantastic due to the insane things it goes through on Google's end, but the audio quality was higher before I uploaded it...

Anyway, Forefather - Theodish Belief. I thought this represented the band better then the other choices- it contains the harsh vocals and the chorus vocals in one track. If you're not a fan of the vocals when they start, I suggest at least listening to it 'til the chorus starts up, so you hear both styles (or skip ahead, it should be at 1:20).

I wonder how many songs are named "Over The Hills And Far Away", because that one obviously has nothing to do with the Led Zeppelin song of the same name.

I like Forefather, but I always end up comparing Folk Metal to Ensiferum, which makes them feel worse, since I love ensiferum so much.
7/10

Im not sure if I've posted this yet, but it's a great cover of Battery.

7/10, surprisingly good for something live, I normally don't like what live does to things.  I prefer to sit in my room with my iPod listening to digitally improved music.

Destroy Destroy Destroy - Gods of War and Open Sores

This isn't the best version of it, it sounds kind of hollow here, but it's still good.

I'm a fan of metal in most forms, and that's pretty good, in my opinion.
I can see what you mean about it sounding a bit hollow.

Wait until it gets going a bit, there's an intro bit of about 1:50.

It's good, but not particularly spectacular.  At least not to me, that is.

Now here's something I'm sure we all can enjoy...

Are you serious? I feel physically ill after listening to that song, a 1/10 from me.

Hmm, now for some real music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxkmPMSzHlE
Be warned it is 10 minutes long.

Dude, that's Johnny Cash, not "some crappy cover artist".  And if you wanted the Reznor version, it's right there in the related videos list.

And of course I wasn't being serious about the belching whiners.  I would never assume that there's a single song that we all could enjoy, our tastes are far too varied.  It was a sarcastic comment.
