You can't not like that song.  It starts slow, but when it gets into that Jazz-type stuff, it becomes awesome.

There are a few different tracks on that Rainbow album ("Rising") that bear listening to, but  this is probably the most story-based.

Stargazer and Light in the Black! I entirely forgot about those when I mentioned the story-based songs. I loved Rising, and a few other songs from Rainbow too- Man on the Silver Mountain, for instance. That's all I heard of the band, though I've heard a lot of stuff with Dio in it.

9/10, it drips with awesome.

Cowboy Bebop and Lupin the Third are the only anime shows I've ever seen that were worth watching.

I loved Cowboy Bebop so much. Didn't see much of Lupin, but I liked what I saw. I don't really watch much anime, but if I had to name one more I'd say Gungrave. I saw the entire series twice, and enjoyed it immensely.

Not really my style but it isn't bad or anything. Can't really provide much of a judgment, just doesn't click with me. I like the piano quite a bit, though.

Oh, I need to offer a video now. Hum. This is all I can think of right now. I particularly liked the violin in this...

Less of a technically impressive song and more of a fun one, to me at least.

9/10, but The Humans Are Dead is better.

Since we just had some pseudo-serious metal, I'm forced to use Alestorm, more Pseudo-serious metal:

7/10. Guitar rocks, but that guy's voice is awful.

Sorry about the video (Guitar Hero) It was the only one I could find with original audio. All the others were live.

I quite like it. Good tune 8/10 depending on how you'd see it.

Grandaddy and their song that featured in 28 days later.

Am 180: 4/5 - I like it! The keyboard is catchy and addicting, though repeated too often perhaps. The vocals complement the instruments perfectly. Sounded great with my old sub woofer hooked up, too. Edit: That was used in 28 days later? I had that movie, but didn't get to watch it... sounds like it would be sort of, ah... out of place.

I posted two metal-ish songs so far, so how about something a bit different... and a lot older? The Doors - Spanish Caravan.

I've always been fond of the flamenco-style guitar playing. Is that the right word to describe it? Anyway...

Watch it, now.  It's a masterpiece.  The music is incredible, especially In a House, In a heartbeat(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ST2H8FWDvEA)

I guess that'll be my song for rating.

As for the above song...  7/10.  That is some incredible guitar-work.

7/10

Very nice.  The movie was rather enjoyable as well, the only zombie-flick I've actually liked.

For my next submission, I was unable to attain a full length uninterrupted copy for free online.  We used to have the album it's on, but we gave it away as an emergency gift.

The volume on the sample player is a bit low, and you don't get the full effect...  Plus there's an annoying *BOOP* placed in it.

But the voices...   They send shivers up my spine whenever I listen to this song (in full quality, that is).  I have never heard singing quite as mournfully beautiful as these three women...

Third sample on the list.  It doesn't do a shred of justice to the full version (the sound isn't just low, it's dulled somehow), but it's the best I could find.

7/10, it's pretty good.

The best chant I've ever heard:  http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=110774539

I'd make it my profile song on Myspace, but the uploader disabled it.  For me, listening to it causes almost instant... trancification.  My eyes unfocus, my limbs go this weird kind of numb, and I just listen to it, I can't do anything else.

Holy crap, I have to listen to more of Trio Mediaeval somehow. The previews were as you said, bad quality, but damn there's good music to be had there... especially the second preview, if I recall.

Byzantine is pretty good! 4/5, some of the better chanting I've heard.

Crap, I just wanted to comment. I didn't really have anything to supply in return. I couldn't find the chanting-oriented song I wanted either, so ah... how about this? It's a quiet, sort of Celtic instrumental. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7VRWpr1UHw&feature=related

Edit: From Heroes of Might and Magic 4. I was going to pick the Chaos or Nature themes, but they're sort of... Opera heavy, and wasn't sure how well it would be received.

They should have the Trio Mediaeval Folk Songs album at a local Barnes and Noble (if you've got a local Barnes and Noble, that is).

I can't recommend the previous albums, but I can't recommend "Folk Songs" enough.

Water Theme - 7.5/10.
I enjoyed it, thanks. Kind of pirate-y but light and relaxing at the same time.

Sorry about the video, there is no real one and this is the only one with the correct track on youtube.
