Iso attempts to explain himself.

  "It is not mine place to watch others suffer whilst I can help them still. I couldn't help others before, when I was a mercenary, as my masters, often rich and lordly, had no sympathy for those of lower rank. I myself am of no notable rank and so I was treated without any respect.  Helping those who need it - or deserve it - helps me to redeem myself for all those times I could not help others. You needed help, and so I gave it. The pleasure of helping you is thanks enough."

He looks up. "Oh, and since I have given you this blanket, I might as well tell you my name. I am called Iso. That is me. Do you want to tell me about yourself?"

Nao patted Iso on the shoulder in a friendly manner. Offering the blanket was an act of kindness, but they should see to finding actual clothing for the dancer in case she only had that outfit.

"It does sound like your mercenary work was a learning experience. If it was what made you a man who can care about others and act on it, then not all was lost."

Tracey adjusts her blanket before responding.
"I'm Tracey. Until very recently I was owned by a Vokraine noble. For most of my life actually. Um... I left for this new world after he died..."

 : "I always was like that. It just took me some time looking from the other side to see what sympathy could do, and how much it was worth."

He smiles warmly.

"Would that knowledge use tomes or staves?" he asked.

For the moment he was still avoiding any question related to Veda's usage of the third person to refer to themselves, specially since she shrugged when inquired about it just a moment ago.

"We are more of a user of tomes."

Most likely, Veda's bag is filled with books as well.

: "And here I was thinking you had gone to those barracks a few minutes ago."

"I Forgot my lance in a weapon crate so I came back to get it"
